Should I go to hospital???

Im 17 weeks pregnant and having cramp like pains in my lower abdomen. They are uncomfortable verging on painfull. They're coming and going and have been since about 12 its now 8:15 here. I've rang my midwife, another woman that was takes care of under 20's and the antinatal clinic, none of which I could get hold of. What should I do? Please reply im really worried.

I think if you're worried, you should go get it checked out. It's probably nothing, but just for your own peace of mind

Thankyou all I rang the only number I could get through to, the hospital ward. I spoke to a midwife and she said to take painkillers and to contact my gp if it gets worse and if I'm worried to go to the hospital. Im not sure if its normal. Or if im over-reacting. The lady said they don't deal with you there untill 20 weeks. My gp is hopeless and the hospital is quite a while a way. Did the baby moving feel uncomftable to you?

the cramps during pregnancy can be painful
but if you're worried go to the hospital its
always better to be safe no one there is going
to mind a worried pregnant woman honestly

there's no such thing as over reacting in pregnancy
i'd go to the hospital hun and get checked out

hey,
i had really bad pains when i was 17 weeks and i was worried and got it checked out at maternity ward. They listened to heartbeat etc and everything was fine they said it is probably just growing pains where the uterus is stretching to accomodate the growing baby also could be where the baby is lying sometime they can push all your upper organs further up than your used to so that can be quite painful too. I wouldnt worry unless you get any bleeding or anything but if you want to reassure youself just go to maternity ward x

Pains rather intense from 16-20wks is common, your uterus growing at faster rate (As baby has big growth spurt) causing pain and discomfort. (Could last for few days go away return again)

Id rest, have lie down, take some parcentamol see how you feel tomrrow, id go to hospital if start bleeding.
