How did you tell your parents?

I am SOOOOO nervous about telling my mom that I'm pregnant....my parents are divorced and I haven't seen my dad since I was little. I don't think she is going to be mad...but she will be REALLY disappointed. She keeps telling me how hard it is to be a single parent and now I'm gonna be one. I know I have to tell her soon.

My mum n dad have split too...So it was a case of telling my mum. For years she was saying "if you come in n tell me your pregnant before your 25 I will kill you..." so i was terrified of telling her.

It was the mornin after me n my partner found out, and he wanted to be there for support when I was tellin my mum but I couldnt wait till he came home from work n broke down in tears infront of her n she guessed right away. She wasnt mad like I thought she was gona be. She was upset cause im a teenager myself and she wanted better but shes always been supportive.

Good Luck Tellin Your Mum! And try not worry yourself too much about it x

P.s The sooner the better!

i was 16 at the time, and my twins sister Blake had just had a daughter, so it was a bit of a taboo subject in our house, it had caused a huge split down the family as my real dads side are prodominantly catholic. I never see him anyway, Blake does but i dont, and then our grandparents could be dead as far as im concerned, but we have a lot of aunts and uncles and cousins etc that are on his side who had fallen out with us. My sister helped me tell my mum lol, she was sat with her daughter on her knee, and was like, mum, if i was to come to you now, and i hadnt had our bailey, and told you i was pregnant, would you be mad?
and my mum was like, i dont know, i guess not, i shouted and that was a bad reaction...blah blah blah to Blake lol, and then she said, so if i'd got two babies not one would you have cared? and mum was like no. once you have one you may have well have two... why? lol and Blake just looked at me and i was like, mum, you might have two grandchildren this time next year, she was shocked, i know that, i was always classed as the sensible school girl who got on with her work, kept her head down, ok so i'd been with josh for nearly 3 years but still, i was miss innocent in their eyes, and she was mortified, but she wasnt so bad, poor Blake got all the stick from when she first got pregnant. By the time we told the family they were past caring lol, once they had one 'born out of wedlock' in the family, it didnt matter so much lol
