My parents initially reacted similar.. my dad kept telling me I was selling myself short and I hadn't lived my life yet and I was missing out on so much.. but eventually they both came around to it.. my dad said some mean things to me when I was pregnant and yeah it continues to this day but for the most part he keeps his comments to himself now... I still live at home and it's working out pretty well..

I suppose you have to think about how you'd react if your LO got pregnant so young. Personally i'd be initially disappointed in Alex HOWEVER I know for a fact i'd come round.

There's no way she won't come round chick. Just let it sink in and don't stress, and all will be fine once your due date approaches.

My parents were SO disappointed, but my mom was always there and still is, she loves baby Lyra, my dad loves her too, but our relationship has changed so much, and now with a second pregnancy...well, things are hard right now, but my mom nows that i'm so happy and completely capable of doing this, also knows that my boyfried loves me and will stand by my side, so it's great.

i know its a bit late to comment but i no wot ur feelin. told my mum and dad and my oh mum and dad a few week ago, the onli one still over reactin is my mum! i live with my OH at his parents nd me nd his mum sit and have chats about it all time which makes me feel so much better about my mum being a cow! i no shel come round and urs will too! they will have to get their heads round it and get on with it and help u out! i fink it wouuld help if can speak to some1 in ur family who will b happy for u and who u can open up and feel good about ur pregnancy. ope all goes wel chick, remember its wot u want not any1 else
