Abit confused...

Heya!
I found out on saturday that im expecting... after taking like 4 tests lol It was a shock to me and my boyfriend at first but now its sunk in we are really excited and my family are being really supportive and happy about it so thats a big help.

I went to the doctors on Tuesday, i didnt really know if it was the right time to but i went anyway just to make sure everything was ok. The doctor didnt really seam botherd tbh and it upset me abit. She just worked out how far i am (5weeks today) and printed off a fue sheets of paper of info for me, mutterd sumet about a midwife calling and sent me on my away. Im getting slight cramps, nothing major but i was abit conserned so i asked if it was normal and she replied "Erm probably i supose." its my own fault really for not asking her to elaborate on it but im just feeling abit left out and not cared about. Im just not feeling very pregnant and im abit worried. Probs just me over reacting lol.

Is this normal? or has anyone experienced this?

x

Congrats!

My doctor doesn't even have people come in for a normal (especially first) pregnancy until 8 weeks along. I had a lot of cramping early in my pregnancy (this time) and it was completely normal. As long as it's not accompanied by bleeding and/or the cramps don't get really painful, it should be fine.

It's really normal to not feel pregnant. I don't feel pregnant most of the time now, except I have a giant belly and my baby kicks me like crazy. lol. I never had bad morning sickness or anything in either of my pregnancies, so it never really hit me that I was pregnant in the first trimester at all.

It's great that your family is being supportive too! Good luck!

I definitely agree. Cramps are completely normal. I'm 16 weeks along and I still get pretty crampy, but during my first trimester I was so worried that something was wrong only to find out that everything is normal. The cramps are probably just caused by your growing uterus so all your ligaments and such are being stretched.
Congrats though, and that's good that you're family is being so supportive

I had a lot of cramps in the beginning (part of why I didn't know for sure I was pregnant-- I kept thinking my period was coming soon!!) They're normal, don't sweat it

Cramps are normal and yes they will get worse! Lol I've just got over morning sickness, YAY! :/ but anyway.. I'm now experiencing AWFUL cramps and i'm just 13 weeks. Sometimes i don't feel very pregnant and i worry myself sick wondering if something has gone wrong! But then my mum told me that i'm not going to feel like complete s**t every minute of the day! lol so that made me feel better. Just enjoy it while you can and think about the out come

& don't worry about what your doctor said.. They all get p***ed off when pregnant women go in at early stages of their pregnancy, that's why they book midwife appoinments around 8 weeks, so the doctors don't have to deal with us! lol xxx
