Hi!

My story is a bit hard to explain, basically as of the 9th April I came off the pill and had a very short, light period every 2 weeks, how annoying! Then somewhere between the 4th and 10th may I had my last period, I know this because I had a doctors appointment on the 11th and I told him I'd 'just' finished. The week after that I had unprotected sex 3 times. The following 2 weeks after I did I experienced a slight brown tinge in my discharge (sorry for too much info!) for 1 day, am now spotty, have back ache, feel nauseous every so often, headaches, tired etc.

As I was so used to being on the pill for so long, and as I've been so busy lately I didn't realize that my period should have come (at the latest) by the 4th June, which makes me over 1 week late. yesterday (the 8th day of waiting) I experienced some pulling/cramping down the left side of my abdomen briefly, it has stopped now.


I took a HPT wednesday (7 days late) and it showed a very faint positive line, but I then realized that the test had expired so was no use, so I rushed to the shop and brought a 2 pack, did 1 straight away and got a BFN, I'm waiting to do the other 1 but am unsure of how long to leave it? Today I experienced a THICK white jelly-like mucus which has now disappeared too!

Is this all to do with me coming off the pill, or is it something else?
How long did it take your cycle to become regular after coming off the pill?

I'm not sure whether it's the same, as I was on the mini pill, but it took my body a few months to go back to normal, regular periods. Though throughout taking the mini pill I was constantly on a period, so my body never took to it. I think it depends on your body to how long it can take to get all of the pill out of your body, everyone is different. If you're worried then I suggest you see your doctor, if it is something to do with pregnancy or not, then they will be able to help you either way. Hope this helps a bit!

I was on Cerzette... was having a period every 2 weeks aswell... i came off that 20th of april..had 2 bleeds one 26th and one 1st may.. i got pregnant pretty quick..i was only on cerzette for 4 months tho.. guess it just depends on your body

I got pregnant on the pill!

For most people I think their cycles are back to normal fairly quick, but in some cases it takes 6 months upwards to over a year ++

I came off the pill and my cycle was normal, went straight back to how it use to be before i was on the pill (heavier and longer TMI).

It wouldnt be a bad idea to go to your doctor, they can do a blood test and for sure tell you whether or not your pregnant!
