maybe try talking to her on your own she might have a good reason why shes being so negative,maybe because she feels like shes losing her son??

i doubt that.
my oh and her aint spoke properly for a good few years. she only started coming round again when he rang her to tell her she was gonna be a granny.
personally if she can ignore her own son for so long, i dont think i want her near my child...
