What I find the hardest..

is telling my Nan and Grandad.. My mum was pretty easy although she was disappointed. My Nan and Grandad on the other hand are going to disown me forever .

Anyone else find it hard to tell people?

Believe me...I know how you feel. I found it sooo hard to tell my parents, especially my dad. I thought they were going to disown me. I mean, I'm 22, but my parents are very strong with the whole get married THEN have kids thing. It's so hard to go through, but it seems to turn out better than you thought. Good luck telling your grandparents. I hope things go well.

I don't want to ruin my Nans birthday but that's on the 27th of December. I'm already 9weeks.. I've got no chance of keeping it to myself untill after then, I'm showing slightly already.. Oh well I'll have to wait and see. I'm sure once he/she is here they'll love "it" and forget all about the silly stuff.

Your already showing??? I have just recently gotten a tiny little bump, but it looks to me like I ate too much. I guess everyone is different though. My friend is about a week and a half behind me, and she started showing around 12 weeks.

I wouldn't say it was showing as much as being bloated is making me look like I am lol. My mum keeps askin me if I'm pushing my stomach out . The boobs are making it obvious though, I've already gone up 2 sizes lol.

I've been in a relationship with my boyfriends for 7 years and we were engaged prior to getting pregnant but at only 20 I thought my parents (my dad in particular) would have a cow. Oddly enough they took the news very well and if I would have known that they weren't going to kick and scream I would have told them a heck of a lot sooner!

I had my first at 15 and that was really hard but my mum and dad supported me they were disapointed when i got pregnant with my second. I planned my 3rd which i am pregnant with now, I am 23 now aswell and i am dreading telling them lol. I wa thinking of waiting until i have my first scan and then showing them the pic and letting them guess lol. I found a lovely little pressie on ebay to go with it aswell.
I think it is one of the hardest things telling people

It was so hard telling my parents, but they were fine. It took a lot of kicking under the table from ym OH to finally spit it out!

My grandparents werent so happy about it, theyre very old fashioned. My Auntie and her lesbian partner have had 2 babies and they were always really funny during the pregnancy, but when the babies were born they fell in love with them. Im sure the same will happen to me. And Im not a teenager, Im 21!

I think your Grandparents will come round eventually, if not straight away. Its always hard to judge because some of them are so modern, but then others are so old fashioned! When they see your baby they'll love it.

I hope it goes ok telling them

Hi Toriaa, best of luck telling your fam. I know how you feel. Even though I am older, I still had a hard time telling my Gran because my OH and I are not married though we've been together for a long time. Like the others said you may be surprised by how they take it. Even if it does not go well I'm sure they will not disown you because they love you too much to do that. If anything it may take them some time to come around but you should be ok.

It took me a long time to enjoy my pregnancy because I was so worried about wha people would say and do. And looking back I should have tried harder to enjoy it and cherish it because there's no turning back and quite frankly you've been blessed! So don't do what I did and beat yourself up with "what-ifs"

Don't think the worst ok!

You have your mum to help you and support you and that will make the most difference during your pregnancy

Good luck hun,

I found it difficult and im 21. No matter what age you are your always going to be their children and thats why its so difficult.

Although me and chris planned we didnt tell either sides of the family we were trying as we just found it would be much easier for us not too as both sides are very opinionated, And although it was a shock to them at first, both have come round.

My family are very tradditional and set in there ways and after a few weeks for them to get their heads round it they are all very much looking forward to it.

It was a little easier for me as i Live away from my family so i wasnt around them constantly when they were dealing with the shock/emaotional side so by the time i saw them again they had all warmed to it. However my partners parents werem't far enough away. Grr his mam interferes so much but thats a different story, LoL. At the end of the day their your family and should stick by your decisons if their right or wrong,

I hope it all goes well hunni.

XxX
