Red face

New Here!!!

I'm 17 and 15 weeks, if my calculations are correct. I haven't told anyone yet, and I'm a bit nervous, because i have a scare a little while back, so i know how my parents will react. I live with my cousin 6 states away from my mom and dad, so i'm not sure if i should even tell them. I'm planning on adoption, because i think it's unfair to raise a child if you aren't financially prepared for it. Well, just looking for others to talk to!!!

Hi Daravalentine! Welcome to B&B I understand how difficult it is to tell your parents about being pregnant, my mom was very understanding...but my dad.. uh oh! lol
If you don't see your situation as being fair for the baby, then I think you're very courageous to go to adoption
I hope everything's going well for you in your pregnancy and you have a happy nine months!

Wow....Hugs to you hun. Must be hard for you to go through this. I wish you all the best. I think you should tell your parents...Once they know that it is for Real and that you are 15 weeks, You might be suprised how they will react....Also, If you are unsure of the due date, I am guessing you have not been to the Drs....Please go...even if it is to a Planed Parent Hood. Just get checked out for you. But I think I would tell your parents.....Like I said, I bet you will be surprised how they will react knowing the will be grandparents...

Mhmm, I completely agree with Suz. It IS important you tell your parents, and definitely go to the doctor to ensure that you and baby are healthy. Going to the doctor, especially for the initial checkup, is vital.

I'm going to the doctors on Friday, so that should be fun! :P I'm sure my parents wouldn't be as upset since i'm thinking about adoption. I called my mother to tell her I had been in a car accident, after I told her I had to tell her something she asked if I was pregnant. I said no, but I broke my leg. She calmed down immediatly and said 'oh thank god'.

Good Luck, it's never easy telling parents but once it sinks in you have a plan and you are not only thinking whats best for you but whats best for the baby too they will be happy and proud of you

Its very brave of you to be considering adoption. I dont know your situation, but if you dont feel prepared for it then its a very brave and admirable thing to do.

Your parents might suprise you with their reaction. They may even offer to help out with money. You never know. But its important that you tell them I think.

Hope everything goes really well for you honey, and if you need anyone to talk to drop me a line Cant say I can give you brilliant advice but I can listen!
