Pregant at 16?

Hi everyone, Just thought I would start up a little thread for all the expecting 16 year olds out there. When I found out I was pregnant the first thing that worried me was telling my dad. But when I got the bottle to do it.. it was fine. Hes now really excited about the baby! every scan I go to, he cant wait to see the pictures!!

Just wondering if any of you are looking forward to ( or have already been to) your 20 week scan and if you think I should find out the sex of my baby!? I do want to know but for some strange reason I keep thinking that there is no chance it can be a girl. I think that its just because seeing a boy is easier!!

Let me know what you all think and tell me about your experiences of being 16 and pregnant!xxx

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I'm still in limbo about whether to find out, my OH doesn't want to know. Part of me does. But I doubt we will. It's upto you, whether you want to have a big suprise or be more organised and go on a shopping spree for blue or pink.

Whats your relationship with the bubba's father?

It all depends on your preference. I have three children and found out with all three. I couldnt help but know what my son was! HAHA! IT was out there for all to see! as you progress in your pregnancy and have ultrasounds, sometimes you can see even if you dont want to. It does help to know. It makes it easier to plan for a little ones arrival. Please let us know if you do find out though!

I didnt find out and am so glad that i didnt. I LOVE the fact that its still a mystery and people are always guessing. Its all part of the fun :-)
I can understand people finding out though - its SO tempting!!!

Hi hun, I'm 17 now but was 16 when I fell pregnant in November. I've got my 20 week scan on the 14th April and I'm desperate to find out the sex, probably because I'm so impatient haha!

It can make it easier for plans if you know the gender but then again, you might be someone who prefers the surprise! Only you can decide if you want to find out!

I'm 16, fell pregnant with baby Marley when I was 15 though. I was the same as you about telling my dad, but it went so much better than I thought it would and now he can't wait to meet his grandson and build his crib, ect. He always touches my belly when he gets a chance, talks to Marley every morning, it's really quite cute and I am so glad he didn't react like I thought he would!! I knew Marley was going to be a boy, but I still wanted the confirmation at my 20 week, but before the ultrasound tech even told me he was a boy, I saw his bits and almost jumped off the bed from excitement! lol and I don't regret finding out the sex at all
