How long until the bleeding stops?

I had Harry 10 days ago natural birth, and I thought the bleeding had stopped as yesterday as it was very tiny amounts of brown, today it has gone back to red and clots, and am getting stomach and back ache. How much longer does bleeding usually last?

I was going to post that it feels like period pains, but I didnt think you could get your period so soon after? it has only been 10 days. I have got loads of ovulation tests, did one mon, tue and wed, and they all said positive, today, the second line was there but only very faint. So if you can get a period so soon after, would positive on ov tests be hcg still present from pregnancy? if so how long will hcg stay in my body for? if I test for ov in a few weeks and they say positive, wouls that be the hcg still or could I be ovulating? cant find anything online that has actual facts

I lost Chloe at 25 weeks and I bled for 2 weeks and 4 days then had nothing for one week then bloody discharge for 2 days then nothing for 8 days then a "proper" period. By a "proper" period I bled 2 days heavy 2 days moderate and 2 days light.

I guess it's different for everyone! My cycles have gone completly regular now! I was all over the place before I got pregnant now I'm like clockwork exactly every 28 days! I might be wrong but it's something to think about - do you bleed differently depending on how far gone you were? I don't know I'm just guessing!

another one for you ladies if you can help. As well as the bleeding, I keep going really hot, and then really cold, for the last few nights I have had to change my nightie as it is wet through with sweat even though I feel cold. Iv rang doctors and they have kindly given me an appointment for next fri (what a joke). Am worrying now, as we had sex the other day when i thought the bleeding had stopped, could I have got an infection or something, or is this all normal. I dont remember from my last birth as it was 6 years ago.

i would say opk was + because of hcg and you wont have period until all hcg is out of your system thats why i think period as your opk is now -

i bleed for 5 weeks as was full term but different lengths for different people but i think its your period

are you charting too ? let me know if you need any help

can you take your temp as this will be raised if you have an infection

i think its more from hormone changes i problems breathing and with my temp

you can record your temp at www.fertilityfriend.com and track your period i was all over the place so kept track of everything there with bleeding etc and then used for ttc x

I had problems with sweating too! I just remember waking up in the night soaked in sweat. Never worked out what it was! But I'm fine (physically) now! The sweating was nothing - probably hormone changes!

this might be a bit TMI...
The bleeding is still the same as it was 4 days ago, nothing leakes on my pads, it's only when I have a wee and wipe and the tissue is full of red blood, but it is sort of slimy in consistency. Is this still the lining replenishing itself? I have managed to get an appointment today instead with doctor, but dont really know what I am going for if this is normal after birth? Just scared I have an infection or something.
