James is poorly :( feeling absolutely useless

James has a bad chest and is on Amoxicillin since yesterday. But he keeps making this horrible loud almost growling sound. Almost like he is trying to stop himself coughing. It really upsets him and he is very unsettled

I have given him calpol, raised the end of his cot, and put some vicks in the corner of his cot cos he is a bit snotty (don't have any snufflebabe and shops are closed). I feel absolutely bloody useless cos I can't do anything to help him. I was going to take him to A&E at the Children's Hospital but since I've raised the end of his cot he has settled down a bit so holding off for now. I hate it when he is poorly cos it makes me wish I wasn't single

and I hate that feeling cos I am an independent person and I am normally fine

Guess I just needed to have a moan cos I am feeling so low

Hope he was ok during the night chick. It is hard when you can't do anything to make them feel better

Aww thanks girls. He is doing a little better. Slept really well overnight after I put the end of his cot up. And didn't wake til 7am! He is still coughing but not doing the horrid noise as much. And is happy in himself.

Yeah his antibiotics have kicked in a bit so he is not coughing so much. And he is eating well. So all in all alot happier.
