Will's

Has anyone made a will since either becoming single or having the baby?

I think im gonna write one more for the care of Ava than 'leaving things' to people, cos lets face it, i dont have any property or anything to leave.

Does it cost to make a will with a solicitor?

one of the first things i did was make a will, stating that if anything happened to me i want my parents to have jake. i left everything to jake (don't have anything though ha ha!)

I did this though my solicitor (my mum works there) i haven't been billed yet, but think it is roughly £100. she may just take the money from the sale of my house, if it ever sells!!

If anything did happen, FOB could contest the will, which would go to court, but they will look at what is in the best interest of the child, and in my case FOB has never seen jake, so wouldn't be wise to give him custody

yes you'll have to pay the solictor to write it up officially and make it legal but i dont know how much it will be but solicitors arent cheap.

This is something I'm wanting to do once LO is here. Even though I've not heard from FOB in so long I'd still rather have it.

Maybe it's worthwhile speaking to a few local solicitors to see what they charge xx

Ive been thinking of doing this as well. God forbid anything happened to me, id want my kids to go to my mum and dad.
I think it is about £100 through solicitors, but i swear i saw d.i.y ones in WhSmiths, but no idea how well theyd stand up legally xx

Oh gosh that would be my absolute nightmare the ex getting my son and my son being MILES away from family as we are such a close knitted family. He is not on the BC and I hope with a will they will uphold it as it would be in my son's best interest to remain with the people he is used to, not someone he sees for an hour every fortnight.

Do those ten minutes wills online stand up legally?
