I'd be suprised if a couple of other single parents don't agree with me

Ok so just read a post in 3rd tri about what girls are getting for their OH's as a presie when the baby arrives....my response?

Tee hee...I wanted to post so badly that surely giving him a baby is enough surely? But then I realised I haven't had a helpful OH there to do jobs to get ready for baby, I did it myself...every little thing that needed doing, I've done it. What will I be getting for doing all the hard work and then doing all night and day feeds while also looking after a toddler?

I'll be getting the best pressie, watching my children grow up and knowing I've done it without twat head and I get the joys of watching my children taking their firsts, and the magical things they do on a daily basis.

What ya think? Agree much? While I love that there are some decent blokes out there willing to help and not screw up at every opportunity, and who know how to be real men and be a husband and father, I still feel that surely giving them a baby you have been growing for the last 9 months or so is enough to make them happy? Lol

Yeah, I don't get the whole pressie thing :S If anything it should be the other way round, them buying one for the mother, they are the one that carried for 9 months!

But yeah I agree, we get to see everything day by day, they see nothing... gutted much?!

You would think a new baby would be a good enough present!

yeah i agree, the women is the one doing all the hard work and giving up their bodys, not only for 9 months but afterwards too.. giving up flat stomachs and non-stretchmarked skin etc, they should get a gift from the father, why do they get a gift? oh well, each to their own.
