Defo agree with you hun, This is the same as why do men expect their surname to be given to baby i just dont get it. Men should be giving us presents not us giving them a daddy gift, i mean ok its cute but HELLO you've just given them their baby!!

I'm not even a single parent and I don't get the present thing Not as if the man has done anything cept have sex. If anyone should get a present it should be the mum for carrying the baby for 9 months and giving birth

I reccon a fucking medal should be given to all women who squeeze out a baby, having grown this life for the last 9 months and pushed our bodies to the maximum by giving all our energy, feeding this baby before our bodies get what it needs, our organs being moved so the baby has enough space, stretching our tummies, our boobs, our v-jay-jay's, the rest of our bodies swelling too...

Plus then of course our bodies provide for baby and use nutrients in food to make milk to feed our babies. The amount of stress and shit our bodies go through to have a baby is enough to mean that the blokes are forever endebted to us. Whether they are involved in their children's lives or not. Men owe us big.

I've never heard of the pregnant woman buying her partner/husband a gift. I, too agree that carrying his child, then going through labour, feeding, clothing, caring and losing sleep should be more than enough of a gift!

Haha damn right girl! In all fairness, we get those precious moments of feeling baby move for the first time, the first kicks, the first hiccups, practising of breathing etc...we can feel the life we are growing inside us and providing for...as well as the burning, tearing feeling as we push them out...and allllll that come after lol

Why can't I ever simply just highlight the good points about being preg and having babies? Pescimist? No, I'm a realist

It's worth every second though
