I currently live in a 2 bed flat with my DD, its pretty small and I think I am going to struggle with space for another baby and all the things that go with them!!

This flat is Housing Association, I know they won't rehouse me bcuz they'll say I only need two beds, however I don't mind only having two beds but am thinking about renting privately, would there be an objection off the housing benefit if I did this??

Also I read somewhere that if your housing is private its something called LHA and not HB that gets paid?? Does anybody know about this or know what the max allowance is??

You can privately rent and still get HB. The LHA is basically area specific amount that housing benefit will pay up too. You can find out how much that would be for you here:

You may find though that they will only cover enough for a 2 bed regardless so you would have to pay the rest yourself.

you might be able to get a bigger 2 bed tho... depends on area aswell.
