i want to start a apprenticeship. job centre says it will stop benefits as it is £95 a week. im confused though as no benefits means paying rent etc. my rent is £76, i have to gass and electric my 2 bedroom freezing house constently. i have to pay water bills and tv license weekly creche is 135 a week and was free with care to learn but now its going to cost me a bomb. money i havent got

i dont get how this is going to work. should i just give up with the apprenticeship nd sit on my blimmin ass all day, i no i can get tax credit but isnt that like 5 pound a week or something?

It's one of the crappy things about the system but any change and they stop everything and you have to start all over again!
I'm not sure of the details but you move away from the benefits for not working to the ones for low income so it's another set of forms to fill in - you need to go back to the job centre and get them to explain what you need to apply for and hopefully you should end up with about the same as you get now!
I've always thought the system is really badly set up and does nothing to encourage anyone to get on and get back to work!
Personally I would say get them pinned down on what you'll be entitled and go for the apprenticeship - it might make things even harder for a while but at least you're working toward something better in the future!
Good luck!

Try going on www.entitledto.co.uk - you can put in what your mew weekly income will be and it will tell you what you're entitled to claim.
