Can i cope?!

I keep thinking about when LO is actually here, I don't know how I will cope, my best friend hardly coped and she had her OH to help her. I've got my mum staying with me for the first week as I have NO idea what to do with a baby, never even changed a nappy, I just keep wondering what it's going to be like after that week. Atleast I'll know what I'm doing then, but its not gonna be easy, I can just see me breaking down and going insane, would love for you to tell me that it'll be breeze but we all know it wont.

You WILL cope!

This is what I keep telling myself....hopefully motherly instinct will kick in!

Stay strong, think positive and you will do it I mean, if FOB was still around how much would he actually help out anyway?....men are shit hehe we don't need them.

Good luck xxx

I worry a bit as well about how I'm going to cope. I've never been around babies before so I'll have no idea what I'm doing. Hoping the maternal instinct kicks in!

Dont worry you will cope, it just kicks in when they are here, i was same as you, i've never been around babies or anything and i didnt know how to change nappies or anything, but when your LO is here its different, i think single mums cope better than people with partners cos they rely on them xxx

Dont worry yourself! You'll pick it up in no time, you could try a mother and baby coffee morning if your really worried? they have those in most places, pregnant woman and woman with babies under 2 come together for tea and a chat! Im sure any of these mums would be glad to teach you how to change a nappy or give a bottle! It'll all kick in when you have your own i'd say! I have a ton of nieces and nephews and ive been changing their nappies for years but im still nervous!! Relax yourself you'll cope better than you think

you can defo cope, i've been on my own with LO since he was 6wks old and he's now 3, and although we all know that its not easy, its not always hard either, you just get on with it. I would say try to stay strong and positive, and don't put too much pressure on yourself, you'll be great, and even on the hard days your baby will make you smile, and you will know its been worth the struggle.

You will cope hun. I'll be honest, im petrified of attempting this on my own but I know i'll cope somehow, you always do. When new baby is born i'll already have an 18 month old so im dreading it even more so! We'll be ok, just stay strong for your little one hun.

When my first was born I had no idea what to do, but its true what they say, it just comes naturally and within the first few weeks you'll know exactly what your baby wants when she cries and you'll have this amazing bond with her

You can do it xxxxxxx

It is really hard, exp being a single parent.. but you can do it. there is nothing that is given to you that you are not able to cope with. The minute that you see that baby itll all just fall into place. Easier said than done and people told me the same thing and i was like y eah yeah... whatever. but you will have so much love for that baby that no matter what you have to do you will do it... because you have to and you want to more than anything in your life. Im learning everyday with Brighton, and think of it this way, how proud will you be of your self when they look you inthe eye and say.. thank you mom thank you for being my rock and giving me all you could.
