Breast pumps?

Hi can anyone reccomend whether electronic or manual pumps are best and what types are good.

I was looking at Tommee tippee as I had also looked at their bottles for breast & bottle feeding.

any ideas?

thanks

that is helpful. I am planning to express breast milk. I didn't get on with breast feeding last time but would like to use breast milk. x

Definitely recommend Medela, they're fantastic I used a Tommee Tippee pump and it was really brutal, only used it a couple of times but also used the Closer to Nature bottles that came with it.

I have a Medela Swing which has a two phase function (it goes fast at the start mimicking a baby so the milk flows better) which I love - I found it even better than the Medela hospital pump I used (which didn't have the two phase thing).

If you're not going to be pumping much you could get a Medela manual, they're cheaper and you can still do the two phase thing on them.

x

My Midwife last week at antenatal class advised against the Tommee Tippee breast pump, said a lot of new mums find it really hard to use! She recommended the AVENT ones or the Mendela xx

Medela electric pump is brilliant. If you are going to be soley expressing I would advise you get an electric one. Otherwise you could end up with RSI.

ive been hired the mandela lactina pump which i love but looking at retail price of 399.00 so brought the tommee tippee closer to nature electric breast pump, after a slight hiccup with breast feeding which knocked my confidence right out the window have been and plan to express milk to feed with bottles. Used it once tonight first time, not much expressed but thats nothing to go by with my milk supply but the noise it makes is so so annoying, will eventually probably drive me in sane.

Try late at night or first thing hun I always found the let-down of milk higher then could get up to 11oz's at a time then.

If you want any help wth reattachment give me a PM
xx
