When do you take yours from? Mines from CD2 to CD6, which i thought was quite early, but apparently it depends on the doctor you see.

Wishing you BFP's soon!!

Hi Lisa, doesn't sound like fun at all. From what I have read, what you have described are some of the possible side effects from Clomid. I will be starting mine from CD2 - 6 like you. Did you have a lap/D&C? If so did your cycle get thrown out? When I do start on Clomid, I will be getting some acupuncture as well as apparently it can help counteract the adverse effect of Clomid and help with fertility double bonus!!!

Good luck with getting your

Hi Gals

I have just started on my first round of Clomid before I go in for laproscopy next week. Doc told me I might as well get started.

I had a scan the other month during my initial consultation and there was a folicle (naturally), so I had a shot of something to trigger ovulation and I actually think it worked and I got pregnant, but then I had m/c symptoms (although this time waaay more painful) and it's now gone.

From what my doc tells me, I take my Clomid - then I go in for a scan to see how many follicles are there (if any) and if there are no more than 2, then you get the trigger to make you ovulate.

I am in Australia - so not sure if things are different here with how it all works. Might also depend on your doctor.

My FS just said I am ovulating on my own but gave me Clomid to make sure and add assistance. He hasn't said anything about ultrasounds, just bloods on CD20. Did you say you had PCOS Cupcake Queen? That may explain why we do things differently. I'm also in Australia.

Jasmak, since you have has a few cycles of Clomid, what are your thoughts on taking Clomid before visually seeing if you've started your cycle post D&C even though you would normally have started? Do you remember if a D&C throws your cycle out or not? Also, I have been doing a bit of reading about Clomid, and many people advise taking it at night due to limiting any possible side effects, any other tips when taking Clomid? I also heard that Clomid can thin the endometrial lining hence higher chances of m/c. I heard that acupuncture can help build up the lining and counteract any adverse side effects from the Clomid. Have you found this? Any info you have found beneficial to know about Clomid is welcomed

I am also ovulating on my own. I got my AF as scheduled last time (2 weeks after D&C) and I am awaiting this one...which should be here any day now. So, I will let you know if she arrives on time. I hope so as I have my Clomid and I am ready to begin!

Lioness - I didn't realise you were in Oz (yay Sydney!).

One of my ovaries appears polycystic - not sure if that's why I'm on Clomid as I do ovulate normally. As I go to a specialist fertility clinic - they pretty much give you a bunch of options to go with. I went with Clomid just because it's been 12 months with one (possibly two) miscarriages, so doc was keen to get things going as I've been waiting for it all to happen naturally for a while. BUt looking back - I was probably having at the wrong time - I ovulate around Day 16/17 and I was aiming for day 13 because of my shortish cycle.

Oh well - I doesn't matter how I get there - as long as I get there!

Hi cupcake, let us know how you go on the Clomid. Where abouts are you in your cycle now? Once the returns, I will be starting my first cycle of Clomid. What dosage had the FS put you on?

Did you have a D&C with your lap or not?

Well, keep resting and if you need to chat, we're here

Jas, how is everything going? Has the shown up yet? Let me know how you also go with the Clomid... hope you're keeping well.

Hi Lioness

Clomid appears to be going well - I have 3 follicles at present! But because of op I don't think anything is going to be going on this month. I think I am on 25 mg.

I didn't have D&C with lap which was good - just removal of a cyst at uterus opening which was not a big deal I don't think. Will find out more on Monday when I go to FS.

I'm healing ok - copious amounts of chocolate are helping.

Thanks for all your well wishes.

Hi all. Myself and partner had been trying for a baby for near two years when i finally got a hospital appointment and found out 4 months ago i have P.C.O.S. I was put on clomid tables and on my second month of taking them i fell pregnant im now 9 weeks gone and cnt believe it. Clomid truly are worth the try. i kept thinkin nothing was going to work cause i had tried so long, and at that tried everything and anything so you can imagin my surprize when i found out they had worked so quickly.
Clomid did however make me tired all the time. all i wanted to do was sleep but it was defo worth it.
never lose hope. i know that was the hardest thing for me. i kept feeling it would never be my turn. everyone else i know was havin there second or third child and i was yet to have my first.
the reason i telling u all this is because i wish someone had of been there to tell me something like this and give me a bit of hope.
i only found out about these forums this week and i just want to help and talk to people who feel nobody understands or who is going threw the same as what i was.
any questions please ask.
xxx

Selina

Your post is really inspiring and hopeful! Thanks so much for taking the time to write. Sometimes I feel like there is no hope for me and having recently found out about PCOS it really got me down - I nearly had a breakdown about it!! The thought of a future without a child kills me, but hearing stories like yours make me think not all is lost!! It will be my turn soon I am sure of it!

Congratulations on your pregnancy - I hope it is all going well and you aren't having too much morning sickness.

thanks again
Cupcake Queen
