trying clomid for the first time this month...some ?s

Just wanted to start off and say hey to everyone and goodluck and babydust to all...I have a beautiful 2yr old girl which is amazing and I know I need to chat with someone thats going through ttc for a while b/c everyone else around me is preg. and just doesnt understand and I have been trying for over a year for our second...i know i need to vent b/c i sit and think that i should just be grateful atleast having one beautiful child naturally and get used to the fact that maybe she will be my only one. So I would love to hear from anyone with encouragment from your stories or just confiding with someone that really understands how difficult this is...anyhow my doctor prescribed chlomid which im tryin to figure out if i should start taking 3-7 or 5-9. she prescribed 5-9 but when i look this stuff up it seems to show better chances at 3-7 but i honestly dont know if that is true or not. My husbands results just came back having low sperm count which was like a total of 17m but they want him to come back next month to do it again. Do you think that we could still get preg. with me on chlomid or no? I just dont understand how we got pregnant naturally the first time if his sperm count is low, Im not sure how low that really is or not, does anyone know? Thanks for reading my first book on here..lol it just feels good to vent and this is the first time im trying this forum thing. I just want to talk with people that are in the same boat..thanks for your time...

hey hun, sorry you've not had much response. i think def try the clomid, alot of girls on here have had success with it. i know it sounds a little 'cliche' but try not to stress about TTC alot of the time when ladies who try for a long time decide to give up. They no longer think /worry about it and find it just happens. Also maybe see if you can get a copy of Zita West's book - The Guide to Getting Pregnant - a great read and she is nick named 'the baby maker'.
also I know a year sounds a long time but between 4 of my miscarriages in the last 2 years, there was a gap of 11 months between 2 and 3. I hope you get ur BFP very soon. also low sperm count isn't too bad...sometimes dr's say to wait a 3 days instead of 2 between each sexual intercourse to let the sperm multiple more.
Hope you get some more replies soon
Good luck xxx

Thank you so much for replying. I was checking everyday and seen no replies, I was wondering if I was even doing it right. But with me exploring this site and reading everyones post it really helped me out and made me feel like I wasnt the only person alive trying and having a difficult time, lol! My doctor just makes it sound like theres not alot of options for us but reading on here is so many different roads to take makes me consider changing mine. She probably doesn't take me serious b/c I am 22. I am so sorry for your losses and you are amazingly strong! I had 2 miscarriages previously to my husband and I was in it about 5 weeks for both so I was really scared I wouldnt carry to term...ever... but than when we got preg. with my daughter I carried her over my due date! One of my good friends just lost her baby at 20wks and it was hard but she is now pregnant again and went for it (she got pregant each time same month of trying) and my other good friend is 7mths after the first month...not to mention we work together so it can be wierd time to time b/c they talk about the baby moving or baby shower and I am talking about my husband having SA and me taking meds and temp charts...lol...not to mention I am completely happy for them. I thought it was about time to see if I can gain some friendships online that isnt finding this as easy like me....So is this ttc #1 for you or do you have any children already? Well I just finished my last pill last night so now OPK time and give this first month a shot and go for there. Do you know why there is reacurrent misscarriages? Are you taking any fert. meds? I hope all the best for you and hope to hear back...thanks

I completely understand how you feel. I have been on clomid 7 cycles now with no luck. TTC for 18 months this time with previous TTC periods that were also unsuccessful. My SIL and also a good friend just had babies and I was trying long before they were, so it is frustrating. I am happy for them, but it is hard for me because they so easily got pregnant. I too feel like everyone around me is pregnant or just had a baby with no effort. I'm wishing you luck.
