Advice about hysteroscopy and polypectomy

Think i posted in the wrong place so will try again.

I'm due to have a hysteroscopy and polypectomy and was wondering if anyone has ever had one done? Do they put you to sleep and what is the recovery like after?

hello.....is this the same as a HyCoSy? im having 1 done in a few weeks ( have to phone this number when i come on next & they will book me for that week.) im not going to be put to sleep....they put a catheter trough my cervix & put dye through my tube to see if its ok apperently. got to take paracetomol before its done as it can be painful. heard its more uncomfortable than anything else tho.

Been there - done that!
Just feels like "period" cramps - gotta go on cd9 to be exact!
All was well with me

still no luck tho since procedure was done ... but ya never know! Good Luck!!!!!!!

I am having one done in few weeks and getting pretty scared myself

The nurse said to me I can pretty much go when ever i want as long as i do pregnancy test before hand!!
I told her due to my irregular cycles there isnt a point in me trying to work out a good time and the nurse told me they normally say cd5 onwards so they defo know your not pregnant!!
