Hi Cazhd, hehehe - I thought the same as you about not being able to fit into my jeans. I had been eating less but was bigger than before Any luck fitting into yours yet?

A holiday sounds good. I've hear lots of stories of ppl going away for awhile to get away from it all and relax....and they come back pregnant!!! Fingers crossed that the change of scenery works its magic, you may not need any acupuncture How long are you going away for?

I haven't heard anything specific about green tea. I have heard caffeine reduces your chances each month, the same goes for alcohol.

Hope you're having a god day, keep smiling

Hi again lioness. I was on day 17 when I had the lap. This is when I usually ovulate but I had already ovulated by the time I had the procedure-although I thought I hadn't so it was a pleasant surprise. AF paid me a visit today which means either this cycle (29) was a few days shorter than usual (32)or else the lap knocked things off a bit so maybe I did ovulate earlier than usual. I think I'll have to use a OPK on a regular basis to make sure we don't miss the window.
I'm feeling really positive today, I met up with a close friend for lunch and she gave me a good talking to -in a loving, only-your-friends-can-get-away-with-it kind of way. I'm beginning to think it was something to do with the lap that left me a bit hormonal and down in the dumps. What day of your cycle are you on now and any sign of AF at this stage?

Hi guys, how are you going today? Noja, I was CD20 when I had the lap. Good news on getting the as you can now know whats happening with your cycle. Wish I knew what was happening here. I have no idea what day I am on and no signs of the , grrr.

Sounds like you have a good friend there. So what did she say to get you out of being down in the dumps? Sounds like I need a good talking to as well .
Any advice would be good .

Cazhd, I also tried on a pair of jean today, almost back to normal, not quite. Just wearing my trendy tracksuit pants . Sweets may not be helping with the jeans, but I am sure they are providing a bit of comfort at this stage .

Sounds like we are both out this cycle, noja is on a winner this month... hope you get your . Time out for a week sounds good. A friend who I haven't seen for a few years called in to say Hi last night and is living near the coast, DH and I are thinking of going down there for a couple of days next week, see how we go. It will be a 3 hour drive to get there, wonder how I'll hold up...haven't gone anywhere too far since the lap. Its been raining here for almost a week (feels like it anyway), so don't have much planned. Just watching some DVDs with the fire on and staying warm

Keep smiling girls, it'll be our turn for a soon, fingers crossed.

Yep fingers crossed it's our turns next month. Lioness thats rubbish the hasn't turned up yet, thats typical especially when your all ready to start clomid with your cycle. Still sounding hopeful for you noja.

Been up early today not feeling great just sick and crampy as if af due but not suppose to be here for another 9 days, hmm not sure whats going on!!!

Well i spoke to soon yest. Grey and miserable out today so looks like a day in front of the telly with my fleecy blanket. A trip to the cost sounds like a good idea, hopefully if you take some painkillers before leaving you shouldn't be to bad for three hour journey.

Big

Hi Ladies
I am really happy I found this thread - I am booked in for a lap this Wednesday (27 May) and I'm freaking out!!!

DH and I have been TTC for ~ 12 months - successful after 2 months but it ended in m/c at 9 weeks. I was told to wait 2 natural cycles and then we'd be ready to go again, but I got an infection from m/c and things haven't been the same since.

Since the Jan, cycles have been very irregular, and that is unusual, so I went to a specialist who did a scan and I found out I had polycystic ovaries! On top of that - she thinks I might have endo - and want to just check there is no scarring or blockage from m/c, so am having lap next week.

It's been good to read all your experiences. I don't really know what to expect.

Lioness you asked initially about if anyone had conceived after lap - my husband's ex wife did - she had endo and then after procedure - within a few months was pregnant and they had they had a beautiful baby girl (Alexandra who is now 6). So I am hopeful that getting things checked out and 'cleaned' out will help.

Interesting about the accupuncture - I am interested in trying this too.

Hi cupcake queen. Rotten that you had to go through a miscarriage already. All the best on Wednesday. I'll be going back to work on Monday having had my lap on May 12. I really hope that they can bring something positive from it for you.
The worrying before hand was def much worse than the actual procedure. The nurses and drs were brill. You'll be given lots of painkillers afterwards and do be sure to take them. Give yourself lots of time to recover. When the doc said a fortnight I thought he was bonkers but he knew what he was taking about (funny enough). Bring a pair of very loose fitting trousers/tracksuit bottoms into hospital with you to wear going home, I had my jeans and a wee dress on, I had to wear just the dress going home and if you've ever seen Irish legs after a long winter...eek!
Mine showed endo and a blocked tube but the gyno was very positive about it all.
All the very best, hope to hear from you afterwards with some positive news!

Cazhd, AF came early for me this cycle and have been quite crampy too although taking lots of the painkillers from the lap so letting them get a grip. It kinna came gradually so maybe same thing happening to you. Have a good weekend and enjoy the sunshine!!!

Hi cupcake queen, sorry to hear about your m/c, sounds like you've been having a horrible time . I was very anxious and nervous prior to lap but def not as bad as i thought, my main fear had been my anaesthetic but i got different drugs this time and was much better. I agree with noja wear baggy clothes as abdo will be swollen and tender. Good luck for next week and hopefully you'll get some answers and be closer to getting your

Sorry to hear the came noja. Not sure if mine will be early too, my boobs are really tender today which is normal for me prior to Hoping it comes early as keen to start next cycle as we all obviously missed out with this one.

You made me laugh with vision of you in dress with irish legs leaving hosp. I had all my clothes on and i was a site also fainted on consultant as he showed me out to the car, i'm dramatic

Cupcake Queen, wishing you all the best for the lap. Sorry to hear about the m/c and the events that have occurred since, I am sure the lap will sort out alot of things for you. I was also nervous and not sure what to expect and for me the lead up was more nerve racking and worrying than the actual procedure. Having the lap is a positive step as both you and the FS will know what you are dealing with and which way to go. I had no idea I had any endo which they found and removed with the lap. I also had a few other things fixed while there, so I now feel like we have a healthy clean slate on which to conceive.

The day before the procedure I took picoprep and was only allowed to have liquids. Then nil by mouth from 10am the day of the surgery (as I was booked in for the afternoon). My FS was running late with his surgery's so I stayed in hospital overnight which was good. I was told to wear something comfortable to the hospital, so I was lucky I wore a pair of tracksuit pants which, like noja and cazhd mentioned, was handy to wear after the lap. Make sure you continue to take the meds they give you afterwards as they work really well. Not a good idea to stop the meds to early due to not feeling any discomfort or pain, as that's the meds doing their job. I have reduced my amount now its 1.5 weeks post op, but still taking them as I sometimes feel a bit tender or sore and want to keep on top of it.

I had a D&C with my procedure and I am currently at a loss as when to expect the . I am just recovering and hoping it will occur sooner than later so I can start taking the Clomid. I bled for about 6 days post op, not heavy, some days were more spotting, others a bit more (sorry if TMI).

Thank you for your feedback/story on success after laparoscopy, I really appreciate it, helps keep me positive and gives me extra encouragement. I have started to take some TCM herbs which will help heal and build up the lining. The TCM guy DH and I go too is pretty knowledgeable (been doing it for 15 - 20 years) and works in with western medicine. If you do take TCM herbs, its important to tell your FS especially before any surgery, they will probably ask you to stop like they did to me. DH and I talk to both our FS and TCM guy so we are informed and can make decisions that feel right for us. Acupuncture doesn't hurt and have heard good success stories with TCM as it addresses the whole person and restores any deficiencies.

All the best for your lap on Wednesday, let us know how you go . Do you know what time you have to be at the hospital yet?
