Less Cheer? Where did the lights go?

I recall years back all the houses were lit up with lights. I suppose being broke is a good reason to not want a high electric bill.

Are you putting lights up? if yes cutting back on time on or when you put them up?

Also.... does it look darker on your street? less cheer?

well, we are only decorating inside the house with the tree. I have not done outside in years, I would have to buy all new lights they were old.

I'm not putting my outside lights up this year, and a few of the local houses who were known for fantastic displays aren't either. The 'leccy costs too much and I'd rather buy more chocolates at Chrimbo!

Lots of people still have their lights up here. It's also only December 1st, I think a lot of people wait until December to decorate still

It's like Blackpool illuminations round here already!
As for me, well other than the indoor tree I might put a few fairy lights on an outside shrub, thats about it.
