TRADING standards want to prosecute Laplands New Forest.

I just found this on another site- please see below. Also looks like the disney photos have been removed from the midlands lapland site.

TRADING standards want to prosecute Laplands New Forest.
Dorset County Council’s head of regulatory services Bill Jaggs said: "We want to take legal action and are currently taking advice from a specialist consumer barrister and the Office of Fair Trading in order to make sure we are in the strongest position to move forward.
“The council is looking into a range of legal options, including how to help consumers get their money back and the action that can be taken against Lapland New Forest Limited for misleading consumers.
“We cannot give any further details, as this might prejudice any legal action we do decide to take, which will not help consumers. “Taking legal action can take some time, but I’d like to reassure people that we are doing all that we can, as quickly as we can to resolve the trading standards aspects of the matter.
"People who have bought tickets for the event and are concerned about getting a refund are advised to call Consumer Direct on 08454 040506.
"Consumer Direct can offer advice and guidance on how customers can try to claim their money back.
"If anyone has bought tickets on a credit card and spent over £100, they should contact their credit card company, as the company may be liable under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, 1974.”

Hope this helps all.

I've been following this story with interest and I hope that the BabyandBump site will continue to allow their site to be used to highlight the new scam which is starting tomorrow because I think a lot of people are going to be very disappointed. You only have to look at the pictures so far to realise thats its going to be muddier than Glastonbury because its in a field and their web site says to bring your wellies!
The terms and conditions basically say you give us money but we don't have to provide anything for it, that surely has to be illegal.
I hope no ones expecting to see any reindeers because they don't arrive until the 7th Dec along with the elves and real huskies! That is of course assuming they have a license for the animals because the council is not aware of one being issued.
A reporter went to the organisers house and was attacked by a man while she was attempting to leave and I believe this has been reported to the police.
The council are going to be inspecting the site tomorrow to see if it is fit for purpose, my guess is this will be closed soon as well, in my opinion the organisers know the game is up but are still trying to take as many bookings as possible before they do a runner.

You can thank/blame Google for that, thats how I found this forum, along with the main websh*te, this forum also comes up high on the list, and out of all of this, I'd say this was the most updated.
I am also guessing you've seen an increase in members.
I don't belong here, I'm not expecting a child, nor a wife.I was just wanted to 'do my bit'

Well done to all. I do hope a few newbies stay on, you all deserve medals
