Anon-nymous, thanks for the information. The figures aren't surprising. If you're in the know, perhaps you can give us some pointers or ideas on how we DO go about getting this scam closed. Who does have the power? I've put a call into the areas local MP and am waiting to talk to him, but in the meantime ALL and ANY ideas are very welcome. This should not be allowed to continue. Thanks

lol no i dont work for them sorry for all the hush hush if youve complained chances are i might of spoken to some of you.
Lets just say ive been spending all day working with people like yourself trying to help them in the best possible way to try and get some kind of recompence.
Although have to say in my experience your money is gone although would be great if for some reason you got it back.
Past 2 days id say id spoken to at least 300 people on my own with ref to this situation.
General opinion within people around me believe unless Trading Standards go to try and shut this company down for some reason then under something called the enterprise act they may be able to do it, however what im saying is they do not have the powers and certainly cannot react quick enough like people think.
Thats not there fault there hands are tied also.
So if they go under that act then im guessing would be at least March before they did anything but hey its just my opinion by which time it is too late.
Ive seen some companies but this is by far the biggest thing ive seen relating to this kind of situation.

An even bigger problem is the people who have paid are in an even bigger catch 22 as technically in their contract they cannot hold the trader in BREACH OF CONTRACT as they have not experienced themselves meaning being able to persue them for any kind of money back means even though they have heard all these terrible things they have to still go to this event so they can then persue for damages through the supply of goods and services act'82.

I was reading comments from one of the newspaper articles and was upset by heartless people. They made out that we are fools who have spent all that money on Lapland. I do feel silly now but at the time I was excited about seeing my childrens faces when they experienced the magic....I think that's what being a child is all about. I guess I've learnt my lesson. And to those people who think we have lost the real meaning of Christmas.....it is not true. There is room for both - Father Christmas, Magic and Jesus!

If that is what you wish!

From the kennel club type sites that give info on breeds it is very clear that huskies are fantastic with children / people but need to be handled and trained by people who know what they're doing (presumably to stop them running off / pulling on the lead if their instinct is to run?).

I think the issue from the posts on Lapland New Forest is that the huskies there are either not trained at all so are basically being displayed in the same way that wolves are in a wildlife park, and/or are being handled by youngsters who possibly (probably?) don't have the expertise to recognise when the dog is getting fractitious or unsettled by attention.

Hopefully no children will be injured in these circumstances at LNF even if they've been upset and disappointed, if anyone is still going? The reports back from it seem to have dried up since the weekend!

We're tempted to go as it does look good but I've never heard of it before so I think it's new this year. I've checked the company name at Companies House & there are no filed accounts and the company was first registered in August this year, so not sure whether to book or not........if I do I'll make sure I do it by credit card.

Has anyone else heard of them?
LOTS OF DISSATISFIED CUSTOMERS
THINK THEY ARE BEING LOOKED AT BY TRADING STANDARDS TODAYS NEWS ON YAHOO

TRY LAPLAND UK THEY LOOK EVEN BETTER THEY HAVE PUT A BANNER ON THEIR SITE SAYING THAT THEY ARE NOT CONNECTED IN ANY WAY

Dissapointed...but will have to go

We have got tickets to go this Sunday and will have to go to stand any remote possibility of reclaiming our money through Barclaycard, I am so worried about going as we have two toddlers who think the world is a magical place and now I'm worried that they'll go and see this dump and the whole magic of Christmas will be ruined. We are not mentioning to them that we are going to lapland we are just telling them that we are going to meet Nanna and Grandad we will stay as short a time as possible and then go and find somewhere nice to go afterwards.
I'll let you know how we get on.....
