Christmas Turkey!

This will be my first Christmas actually "doing" the whole christmas thing at home. (lived at home before and, last few years went to either parents).

I am very excitied and want to get a proper turkey from the butchers as there is no way i am facing the shops with a 1 -2 week old baby! plus couldnt fit a frozen one in freezer.

But mostly becuase i like the idea of a proper turkey lol! how much do they cost roughly? and how big do i need? there is 4 adults, and will use it for sunday lunch and day after lunch.

Ours was £24 last year. It fed 5 adults at dinner, another 2 later on; and we got plenty of sandwiches out of it on Boxing Day.

Hm, last year we just got a turkey crown from our butchers and it did 4 of us with leftovers for sandwiches the next day. This year we're getting an organic free range bronze turkey that costs £60. It's around 5kg though and we're having 7 adults and Amelie to feed.
