I am a member of a few other forums (mostly dog related!) and stumbled on this today as a result of the crapland thing. I am very happy i did as we have just started on the road to getting a bump and i'm sure i will need all the advice i can get!

I have two dogs who are my babies and a huge part of our family. Elena (or Ela for short) is an 8 month old Northern Inuit and Cassie is a recuse Lucher from the dogs trust and is (we think) about 5. Here is a pic of my two pests . . .

Ok I have 2 children at home a 3 yr old, and a 2 yr old. In March of this year ( 2008) I had a miscarriage at 18 weeks with my #3. Then I got pregnant in April and miscarried in May@6 weeks, then I got pregnant in June, and miscarried in July @ 5 weeks. So I started seeing a specialist, in August I was told I was not ovulating or having a period, so I started Provera, and Clomid 50 mg. I went through September and nothing, then I didnt get a period in October, so I started the provera again and this tiem they upped the clomid to 150 mg. On Nov. 17th I got a period on my own without using the provera, and I did the 150 Clomid, I just had a follicle study yesterday ( cd15) they said my right ovary had eggs, but they were to small for ovulation, the left ovary had one large egg it was 1.62 cm, they like it to be atlease 2 cm for release and optimal fertilization, she said there is still a chance I could release the egg and become pregnant, but it is unlikely.
SO I asked whats next?? She said to TTC , if no period by 12-18-08 pg test, if negative call her and she wants me to start the provera, and up the clomid to 200 mg!! and if that doesnt work she wants to add another medication, anyone else have issues like this? I'm so glad to have stumbled upon this site. DH and I have been TTC for about 18 months now, and to no avail. I have been really bummed about it quite frankly. I have been pregnant before, in 2005, and both of those pregnancies unfortunately ended in m/c. Those pregnancies were with a former b/f though, and not with my DH.

I know people keep on saying "Quit trying and just let it happen", but we cannot do such a thing. :!: TMI ALERT: I ALWAYS get an infection everytime my husband ejaculates in me, thus causing an extremely hostile environment for the lil swimmers. Yes, both my husband and I have been treated with antibiotics, and no, he hasn't been cheating on me either, but it comes back everytime...I just have NEVER had this problem with any other man that I have been with in the past. I'm not sure if this is the reason that I haven't been able to conceive, or not.

In May this year I had to have laparascopic (sp?) surgery to remove a large ovarian cyst, and while my doc was in there, she also did a Chromotubation to see if my tubes were blocked. No problems there, and she said that everything looks well inside of me. No other tests have been ran on me nor my DH.

For the past 4 months, we have been using Pre-seed as well as Instead cups...I also keep track of my BBT, but am not 100% sure if I do ovulate each month. My periods are pretty regular ranging from 34-40 days on average. I'm just getting so bummed after trying SOOOO many things for what seems like forever, and I'm just looking for some success stories or a little encouragement. Also, if anyone has any advice on Clomid, such as, success rates, etc, that would be great too. My name is Correna and I live in Ontario, Canada. I'm 34 years old and recently married on August 31st 2008 to my husband Scott.
We were planning on starting a family soon after our wedding, but were pleasantly surprised when come September 9th, my period was late. Low and behold, we discovered we were pregnant.
My last menstral cycle started on August 9th, and our estimated delivery date is May 16th 2009. As I write this posting, I am exactly 16 weeks!!!
We are not going to find out the sex of our little peanut until the day he/she is delivered. We are both very excited.
I needed to find a site I could talk on to help with the symptoms I am experiencing, that others may have also experienced.
Missed menstral cycle was the first, along with tender breasts. Then the bloating started. I look like I'm 6 months pregnant at times, especially after I eat. No morning sickness. Headaches from hell. Fatigue that I am sure that many others expeirenced.

Hope to hear a lot of wonderful advice, and meet a lot of wonderful women who are either expecting their first of their fifth bundle of joy!!!.

Well I am amazed to be here, as at 40 years old, getting pregnant was the last thing I was expecting to happen, I was told in March that I was going through the menopause! I have 3 kids, ages 22 (who made me a nana in June!), 18 and 12, I remarried last Christmas Eve, my husband doesnt have any children so he is absolutely over the moon at our news.
I go for my 1st scan on Monday, dont know my dates for sure, but my lmp was 12th August, so doc is suggesting Im approx 15 weeks.

So Id just like to say hi to all and ask if there are any other 'older' mums around

Not sure on girl baby names yet but if its a boy we have decided to call him Andrew after my otherhalfs name and his dads :)

I have to go and have a blood test today :( not sure im going to like it but its got to be done i guess.

Going to see my midwife for the first time thursday too , think this is where they go through all my medical background in the family ect.. and give me my lil folder with everything i need in it.

Im 28yrs old , and have had Polycystic Ovarian syndrome for over 10 years. Got married last year and always thought I would need fertility treatment when we decided to conceive because I just didnt think it would happen on its own, with the irregular periods and all.
Last month, for the first time I decided to take something for my irregular periods, in the hope that if they normalised it would mean I would start ovulating and maybe with time, over the next year or so, I might conceive on my own. As I always prefer something milder than hardcore allopathic medication, I decided to try homeopathy and was told that with the medication prescribed I could hope to get regular periods in about 6 months time, as PCOS is a chronic problem which takes time to heal. I thought it was worth a shot and so diligently took my medication...
Imagine my absolute surprise and disbelief when before a month was over, I had a BFP!!! I would never have thought to test had it not been for a killer backache and the worst fatigue of my life that sent alarm bells going in my head...

I cannot still believe its true, and feel soo blessed. A recent scan showed the fetal heartbeat flickering away, and also showed my ovaries as normal looking, which I havent had in numerous scans over the years. my EDD is 14/7/09. I cant seem to shake a fair bit of anxiety though, and worry about things not going right, but I know I have to keep the faith and be positive!

I look forward to experiencing this wonderful and unique journay through pregnancy to motherhood with all you lovely ladies out there, and hope I will be able to get the support, guidance and advice I so need at this scary and wonderful time.
I should mention I live alone all week, as hubby works in another city, and we meet over the weekend only, plus moved here recently with a new job and all, so dont have any close friends either, which is why I need caring people I can reach out to all the more.

Would be lovely to hear from you girls out there who are due around the same time as me. comparing notes can be so reassuring to make sure nothing abnormal is happening to me!

I'm just sitting here, wondering: Am I or Am I not pregnant...
So I decided to "google" my symptoms: missing AF (day 3), sore breasts, a strange pulling sensation on my lower left side as well as some queasiness; and that's how I found this site.
Glad I did because I'm sure I'm going to need to "talk" to people who aren't my family or husband, all of whom probably thinks I'm obsessed.
I'm 31 and I'm ready for a baby! I just had my copper IUD removed on Nov 11 right around the time of my ovulation (I believe). SO IF I am pregnant I would be amazed and ecstatic. I'm going to buy a HPT in a day or so if AF still hasn't shown up.

I am new to this forum. I have been trying to conceive for 4 months. I realise this is not a long time but it is such an emotional rollercoaster and I feel incredibly sad every time the dreaded AF arrives. I ovulated 11 or 12 days ago and am currently in that horrible phase waiting to take a test. I have dull pains low in my tummy tonight so I am worried AF is coming.
None of my friends are TTC and my friend who is pregnant conceived in the first month. It would be really nice to hear from other people in a similar situation.
I have read a lot of posts and I realise some people have been through so much more for so much longer.

I naively thought it would happen straight away and it is really difficult when it doesn't

AF made an appearance june 7...ok no problem....DH and I decided we were going to wait to try to have a baby for a couple months...well I was expecting AF july 7 but she arrived either july 5th or 6th...one of them days...now AF sticks around for about 7days...anywho aug. comes around and Af showed up on the 5th like she should have...sept. rolls around AF appeared on the 5th...oct. was on the 4th...ok i figured im back on track...well nov. rolls around knew it was coming the 4th well well well to my surprise AF showed up on the 1st!!!!! and she left on the 8th....By now DH and I have decided it's now time for a baby!!! So on Mon. Nov. 10th DH and I had unprotected sex...and since that day I have felt like complete and utter crap!!!! I have had cramping since that day and was due to ovulate on the 14th or 15th...don't remember. I have been extremely tired...and i am not one to sleep during the day...once i'm up...i'm up for the day...now all i want to do is sleep. I have had small minor headaches everyday...sometimes i feel queasy....lower back pain....my boobies aren't sore but there is minor and i mean small minor pain..thats been the last 2 days...i notice more at night....like i was outside last night and it was cold and i felt this small pain.....when i walk it feels really stiff down below...sleeping on my tummy hurts and is uncomfortable...and sometimes my sinuses act up....i am also breaking out....the cramps i am feeling r like the ones i get when Af is ready to appear...now she isn't due till 11/29!!!! and i have been feeling like this since nov. 10th!!!!! jan of this year i had my second child, a daughter weighing 8lb 3oz at 39 weeks by elective c-section, through the whole of the pregnancy i used this site soooooooo much and really missed it once the pregnancy ended, but it looks like im back again for child no 3, found out today by using the new clear blue digital with conception date and it tells me i am 1-2 weeks at the mo will post pics of the new clear blue test in the right section.

I have been reading your posts in BnB for the past few days, and I'd like to thank you all for the lovely thoughts, support, and information that you provided each other (from which I've benefitted by just reading). So here I am today - finally picked up the nerve to join instead of just read.

I've been TTC ever since I got married in June. Very keen to have a little bundle of joy. Unfortunately, I had two early pregnancy losses - 1st BB at 5W3D in early August, and 2nd BB at 5W in early October, with one normal period cycle in between. I hadn't told anyone except my husband about the BFPs and the mc that followed. Relatives always try to dispense 'advises' and try to tell you to do things (or not to do some things) that may affect future pregnancy. Its like I'm to blame due to something I did (or didnt do). Had been scared to see the OBGyn too. So I havent had any scans of anything done and tried to treat it as 'delayed periods'.

I had a OBGyn full checkup complete with scan before getting married - everything is NORMAL. I'm 31 years old and healthy and I've been taking Prenatal Supplements and doing everything to stay well while TTC. But two mc.... I blamed myself for so many things - exerting myself at work (I'm a Physical Therapist), exercising, maybe I ate something wrong, something....????

Thanks to Wobble's posted article on 'Facts and Myths of Miscarriage'. I feel stronger now and more sure of myself and my body. I read posts about some ladies MC and saw the embryo and sac??!! OMG, that is so devastating. I'm so sorry. I only had heavy bleeds with cramps, blood clots and lots of heavy brownish discharges.

Should I get another scan done to check if there's any BB left inside my uterus?? Or will the normal monthly period 'wash' away everything??

i am nearly 11 weeks pregnant, with my second baby, although it feels like my first all over again, as my other daughter is nearly 6 now!
my partner and i have been ttc for nearly 2 years and untill now had been completly unsuccessful, so i couldnt quite believe it when i saw the little cross appear on my test, thought i was seeing things lol.

i am still waiting to hear from the midwife and havent had a date for a scan yet, and am getting a little concerned that this should have happened by now?
i am also a little concerned because i have rhesus negative blood, and was worried that i should have been discussing this with the midwife by now??

well here is my story
me and my boyrfiend have been together for almost 2 years or so
we were engaged and started trying for a baby in the beginging of the year
in may found out i was pregnant
with him not knowing how to act with the raging hormones and being crabby he left
in aug. (15 weeks along) i started having really bad pains in my bladder like i couldnt relaese all the pee (like when you hold it for a long time thats how it felt)
doctors said oh no big deal take some ty. and rest well thats what i did i felt better
couple days later(friday) i was on my way with my grandma to the cable company when i thought i pee'd my pants so i was like ok no big deal well i couldnt control it, it just kept comming out so i went back to the car
when we go home i got out and again it just comming out so i went to the bathroom and all the sudden i started shivering like it was neg. something but i wasnt cold so i got in the tub to warm up that was helping but the i started cramping so i got in bed and called the on call nurse and she said just rest and watch it if you start bleeding go to the er well as soon as i got of the phone with her i went to the bathroom and noticed i was bleeding went to the er and when i thought i was peeing my pants it was the am. fluid. there was nothing to do to save my baby i was told when in the next couple of days he would die. well i got transfered to the motherhood floor. they then told me from all the blood they took i had a really bad blood infection and immediatly put me on anti biotics it was either my baby or me or both that wouldnt make it the doctors didnt know how i got this infection or why so they induced me sunday morning and by 557 am monday i had to push. i delievered a baby boy so the doctor said. later that day i was released from the hospital. st marys was nice enough to hold a cermony for all the babys who didnt make it in a 6 month period time yes it has been hard but i no my son cayden is in a better place

now im just waiting for the father to get out of college move in with me and try again

I'm new to this website and in need of some help as i feel i am confusing my self with all the information about TTC

I have been TTC for 6 months so far. the first few months i had 28day cycles. the last cycle it was 42 days.
This time round i brought a OPK and it showed i ovulated on day 19, It is now 25 days past ovulation and still no AF. this would mean my cycle is so far 44 days long!!!!

Surley my luteal phase cannot be 25 days long or more? i am having some niggling pains like Af could be in its way. If no Af tommorow i will buy a test but i'm not confident it will be postitive.

Anyone else have a long luteal phase?

I am taking conception multi vitamins and think maybe the Bvitamins in it are delaying my Af. Maybe i should hold of them or try Agnus Castus as i heard it can be benefical?

Well I'm one of those ladies who is trying to fall pregnant. However I am overweight (size 18) and I am currently considering stopping trying for a while to lose about a stone and a half.

All the women in my family are overweight but of course weren't before they had kids and they are all telling me i HAVE to lose weight before I start trying... none of them know I already am.

We're pretty much just trying to get finances straight and get the house fixed up a bit plus take a trip to New Orleans/Florida before we start. Also my work requires me to be around for 4th quarter so we have to plan around that but that's ok! It's so exciting to think that we could be pregnant next year, we're both so ready in fact I think he's more ready than I am, he wants to start now! LOL!! My partner and i married in June and already have two gorgeous daughters (2 and 3).
I came off the pill in september due to a family crisis and generally forgetting. Recently i have been getting hot flushes and irregular periods. Im not sure if this is due to coming off the pill. Ive heard alot of people comment on 'spotting' but i dont know what this is. These irregular periods i mentioned last a day (sometimes two) and arent the same colour as what i would called a normal pill period. Ive put on 8lbs in the past month but am not sure if this id due to the 'family crisis'. The heartburn is really getting to me too.

Ive just done a pregnancy test and it was negative. Im due for a period on sunday. Could this have been too early?

With my other two pregnancies i never had an inkling i was pregnant until i was about four months. I'm VERY early in pregnancy but I knew 6 days after conception I was. Nausea is pretty steady, smells are very bothersome, I have cravings and there are certain things I DO NOT WANT to eat.
My first 3 pregnancies were nothing like this. I felt great up until the day I delivered with no symptoms whatsoever.
