Hi everyone

I bought some reusable wipes of ebay not these kits just some cheap pink material wipes.

I have no clue how or what to do next lol.

So i plan to wash them and then put it in a container ready for use?
Then when ready to use do i wet it in warm water?
Do u put the used once straight in a bag then straight into the washing machine?
What if it gets lumps of poo on the wipe? Do i have to scrape it of or soack it before putting in wash?

Any tips for routine with reusables or tips in general
Are they worth it??

I bought 20 is that enough? X

So here I am, wide awake at 5am worrying about this test. Not only because I have to spend £14 to get a cab to the hospital which is 2 miles away (stupid snow) but I feel very sick that early and I'm worried I won't be able to keep it down.

Also they never told me to fast (!!) but I have anyway, stoppe eating/only drinking water at 9.30pm.

I may have to cuss the hospital when I ask if I should of been fasting.

Basically I am curious what your stay in the hospital was like when you gave birth? What did you need to bring? What did the hospital supply?

I know I still have lots of time to worry about this, but I see all these "hospital bag" posts, and I was wondering what applies to Canadian ladies? I know every time I've been in the hospital for surgeries the hospital provided pretty much everything I might need....so what was the case when you gave birth?

Thanks

ETA: Also, how long was your hospital stay??

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I actually decided to join because I really need to get something off my chest. I am just entering my 3rd trimester and throughout my pregnancy, I occasionally get really scared about labor and delivery. It overwhelms me and I end up reading way too far into the stories of pain and embarrassing moments during labor. I share everything with my husband and usually, he's really supportive. However, when I begin to express my fears, he responds by cutting me short and says that I shouldn't get so worried. All I want him to do is listen and support me. I know he'll never understand and I don't expect him to. He even compared labor to taking a test(!) and said that I shouldn't psych myself out...because apparently giving birth is so much like taking a freakin' test! I wish!

Tomorrow, my intense fear will wear off and I'll feel more empowered like I normally do, but when I feel so scared, I just want him to support me. What do I do? When I tell him that he's not responding in the way I expected, he get's really defensive and shuts down. When I try to talk it out and tell him that all i want is support, he sarcastically laughs it off and acts like I'm being crazy. Has anyone else had to deal with this? I still feel terrified of labor and delivery and the worst part about it is that my husband (who i love dearly) isn't listening to what I have to say. Any ideas?

Soooooo....

Let me just start off by saying that I am deeply into anatomy and medicine and all. I'm doing schooling for my LPN and I hope to get my RN. Am currently a CNA. I can take out, clean, and reinsert a suprapubic cath with my eyes closed. I'm good at CPR (have done it on two people. both people survived. I feel as if I rock because of it.)...I'm good with diagnostic stuff. So, I'm not completely and totally stupid, although the confession may make you believe otherwise.

Ready?

Up until about a month ago, I thought that the fetus's cord, attatched at their navel, attatched at the inside of the mother's navel.
Yeah.
I mean, I know a placenta has to be there. As does a uterus. And mesentery. So, logically, that wouldn't work at all. But there I was, terrified that the baby might grab on to the cord and rip my bellybutton off from the inside.
I told my mother this tonight, and she just looked at me like I said I thought the moon was made out of skittles. I thought she was going to disown me.

Sigh.

Does anyone else have any really, really, really stupid misconceptions about pregnancy, the human body, or, well, anything else?

Hi girls

Hi girls

After a few weeks of telling me my baby was head down low in pelvis but posterior, Obstetrician discovered baby had turned breech on Wednesday and did a scan to confirm it. Baby's head is also measuring at 35 weeks but the femur bone at 32 weeks?? I'm measuring 34.5cm. As you can probably guess I was throughly disappointed, as I've had such an easy pregnancy. She said they don't usually worry until 36 weeks and then she'll offer me a ECV and last resort caesarean (which I desparately wanted to avoid). I know there's still time for baby to turn head down but I have a funny feeling that she is too big for my pelvis (I'm quite petite). I'm not overly keen on having the ECV, even though I know it's an ok thing to do, but my main concern is for it to be successful and she turns, but I go into labour and she gets stuck and will end up having to have an emergency c section. If she is still breech after 36 weeks I have prepared myself to ask for a plannned caesarean which I think would be less traumatic in the long run.

Has anybody had a similar experience with this situation? What would you do? I'm also trying everything to get her to turn, different positions, chiropractor and acupuncture!

I have been plagued with daily rib beatings for the last few weeks, but yesterday I went home from work with no pain what so ever and the same today. Difference is I have got a tonne of pressure on the top of my legs sort of around my groin.

I know lots of people talk about the watermelon between the legs and I wouldn't really describe it as that but wondering if all the pressure I am now feeling could be a sign that my boy is getting ready???

Okay, totally weird question. I've had a few occasions now where my belly has gone rock hard and my little girl moves right over to one side (it looks really freaky!). It's not really painful, but I would call it uncomfortable.

It has happened once after a warm bath and a couple times after sex. I'm not sure if I should be worried? I don't see my OB til next week, so I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this?

BTW, I know I'm not technically 3rd tri yet, but most of the people in 2nd tri seem to be early 2nd tri, and I figured you ladies would have more experience with this type of thing...

Well I guess I might as well get this over with, and piss off both families...lol. I've made a list of the only people I'm allowing to visit myself and my LO while I'm in the hospital. I'm going to be informing everyone fairly soon and announcing it on Facebook. I'm going to piss off so many people...but seriously, we are talking about the birth of my LO and the first few days after. I have every right to control the situation. The only people I'm allowing in is my parents, my husbands mother and my step-sister in law.

PEOPLE WHO WILL BE TURNED DOWN FOR VISITS INCLUDE:
MY HUSBANDS REAL SISTER-she has some obsession with my husband (way beyond weird, always uses him for money) shes obsessed with his exwife and exgirlfriend, plus she hates my guts. also she smokes like a chimney and i dont want that smell around
ALL CHILDREN-all of his neices, nephews and my husbands daughter. First off these kids have had everything from pnemonia to the flu lately.secondly, its a special day for our baby, those kids had this luxury when they were born, mine deserves it too.
ALL AUNTS/UNCLES-There's no real reason behind this one other than I dont wanna deal with my husbands aunts who still obsess over this chick my husband used to date. The crazy one who keeps harassing me.
GRANDPARENTS-I don't want either one of us to allow out grandparents up to visit. They are extremely old and don't need to be exposed to all the hospital germs.
FRIENDS-none of my friends gave a shit enough to show up at my baby shower, and none of his friends cared enough to even come to our wedding. Therefore, they dont need to see our LO right after birth.

Well that about covers it I guess, time to suck it up and piss everybody off. The real way I look at it is the only people who bothered to show up at the airport to send my husband off to Afghanistan, are the only people who are invited to be at the hospital. Everybody else can just screw off until we get settled in with our new addition.

I've had a few problems so far, and will be induced at 38 weeks due to diabetes so baby will be here around May the 13th! Despite me still being 24 weeks i can relate to lots of threads in here and since having a little boy also i can contribute to some of the labour threads if people have any questions. :)

I have mw on tuesday and I really feel they arent doing anything to keep a track on my baby, my last baby was 9lb 6.5oz and he got shoulder dystocia and took a breathe with his head out then because his shoulders were stuck and cord round his neck he basically suffocated and when I actually got him out they had to push emergency button and cut his cord without clamping and run with him to a room of doctors who then done resus, luckily he lived and is now a gorgeous 3 year old but they promised me at beginnin of pregnancy they wont let me have a bigger baby because same could happen again but iv had a mw change since and this mw doesnt have a clue and.im worried I could end up with another big baby thats going to get stuck and I may not be so lucky next time, so on tuesday do u think I should put.my foot down and say I NEED a growth scan?

Thanks for being amazing and sharing this incredible journey with me that I tried so long for and finally its coming to an end and I'll get to meet my baby!!! :happydance::happydance: I will start straight off with pitocin and have my waters broken sometime after. So far im starting off almost 3cms dilated and 60% effaced so hope it works in my favor having some progression already and have a fast induction. (fingers crossed!!!)
I hope to see everyone in baby club.
I'll be sure to post birth story and pictures of little haiden lane :cloud9:

What do you think?

I've been contracting for about the last ten hours and have just had my show. The contractions are every 8-10 minutes. This happened with my first LO and it was 37 hours in total before I was in established labour. Obviously I would rather it was a bit shorter this time so wondered whether having sex would help speed things up. Has this actually worked for anyone? And is it ok to have sex after the mucus plug has gone?

Thanks :-)

So big huge confession- I haven't shaved down there since the beginning of october. I trimmed it every so often but that didn't really make a dent in it. Last week when I went to my midwifes she did an internal and I felt so bad for basically having a large woodland creature between my legs that I decided to shave tonight for tomorrows appointment. I was going in blind, couldn't see anything that I was doing and I had a feel and it felt pretty clean. So I get out of the shower and decide to have a look. I don't even know how I managed to miss like 90 percent of the hair, but I did. It looked like a cat with tufts of hair ripped out (pussy joke anyone?) Now I just feel like an ass and I'm too lazy to try to fix it.. I'll just close my eyes during tomorrows internal and pretend she's not looking. Ugh. rant ova

Hey ladies... just moved over today. It felt like I'd never get here but I also felt like I belonged here more than the 2nd trimester for the last several weeks. I'm due May 10th with my 2nd daughter and I'm thinking/hoping I'll go a little early (my first was 10 days early.)

OH & I were just approved for an apartment (currently living with my parents) and we move in at the start of March. I cannot wait to start decorating the nursery. I had my baby shower early at 25 weeks and have received or purchased almost everything we're going to need.

I had my monthly appointment this morning and was told I've gained 13 lbs so far, her heart rate was 156 bpm and I'm carrying very low. I think that's pretty obvious hahaha. I've been dealing with SPD since November although my OB refuses to call it anything with a "fancy name" but is pulling me from work until after the baby is born anyway as I was calling off work every single shift due to being unable to get out of bed or walk a few feet without doubling over in pain. SO MUCH FUN :/ I finally got told "See you in 3 weeks" instead of the usual 4 weeks which is exciting because that means every 2 weeks is right around the corner, meaning the end is right around the corner.

Anyway, enough of my drawn out intro... I'm just so excited to finally be joining y'all in the 3rd tri!

..uhm Jenelle! Your beautiful son is RIGHT THERE! selfish, immature little girl.
quit crying you can't smoke weed,
quit crying you can't find you damn lighter to smoke your cigarette,
and also, quit yelling at your mom have some damn respect, if it wasn't for her,

also, rehab for weed? ..
fine, just get your life on track and STOP being an idiot and be the girl and mother we know you can be! because if you go to California for your rehab and come back and get back together with that LOSER, Keiffer or go back to how you were, I'm coming to your house and slapping the shit out of you.

I had my appt today. They wont start checking my cervix until Im 36 weeks which Im ok with. Everything is looking good. BP 130/70 I believe but they are monitoring it. Heres the thing:

At 27 weeks I had a sonogram done and the baby was measuring at 3lbs. I found out today because the tech never told me but my doctor told me today. She said theres a chance my baby is like 5lbs right now!! Is that unheard of?? And in a case like this, do they end up inducing you if the baby gets too big? I get scared of induction because of the pain I hear about :(

She said my baby dropped and hes very low into my pelvis and his feet are way under my ribs. So hes in position but I just worry about the weight. I gained 4lbs in 2 weeks and Im sure most of its going to him.

I guess my question is...is it normal for a baby at 30 weeks gestation to be 5lbs?

My problem has to do with...

Okay so I normally don't post much but really enjoy everyone else's posts and I'm kinda stumped! So here it goes....

My problem has to do with having a csection again or trying for a vbac! The only reason I'm entertaining the idea of o csection is, well we're alone here in Washington! No family or friends at all, and in 10 years of mothering I have never left my children with anyone but our mothers! We just moved 6 months ago from Az and I'm worried that if I go for a vbac I will be alone in the birthing room:cry:. I don't want this, my mother is going to fly here the second I go into labor but that could take too much time! She is going to stay with my kids. Also I just had a csection 10 months ago, so my doc won't induce on a certain day for fear of rupturing, I'm amazed she's willing to let me try.

Also my husband is opening a new store up for his work on my due date! Lol perfect. So he well will be very preoccupied with that for a couple of weeks.

Not to mention I'm always late, last birth I was 12 days overdue when I had my abruption! So I'm thinking my doc won't induce so it will probably end in a section if I go overdue??? I've had three unmedicated completely natural births prior and I'm not worried if I can vbac, but just worried if my body will cooperate, as it let me down last birth. This would be a healing birth for if it was natural, and completely what I would want but I'm so worried about my other 4 kids and My Mom getting here on time!

Last thing if I have a section the healing would be very difficult due to my little guy and hubs not being able to take a lot of time off because of the new store. Originally he was going to take two weeks off but now who knows? Thanks for reading my confusing, worried, long post!

So I walked as fast as I could, but the doors closed and the bus was pulling out by the time I was nearly there. Luckily, the very nice bus driver saw me, motioned for me to come on, pulled the bus back in and opened the door to let me on!! I was delighted, lots of happy thoughts going her way!!

Hi all.

I never did this with my boys, but a few people have said it was right, so was going to do a little survey on who it was right or wrong for!(If you know the sex of baby)

So the theory is a teaspoon on bi carbonate soda, and add your urine too it. If it fizzes = boy, if theres is no fizz = girl

So as I said, if you ladies have any bi carb in please give it a go so we can see the statistics!

After my c section thread on Tuesday after having my little girl I've still kind of been lurking in the third tri forum as there are still so many ladies on here whose stories I want to follow who I've been through my entire pregnancy with.

But I am finally thinking I should be heading over to the baby club forum!

I am still going to be popping in and out of third to make sure I don't miss out on the 'this is it' threads, but I wanted to just say thank you to everyone for all the wonderful advice and support I've had.

My last little update following on from my c section birth story thread is that we came home yesterday (the day after my section), we were only in hospital for just over 24 hours as they were satisfied with Skye's feeding and with me being up and about etc. so anyway, we're home and both doing amazingly.

I feel so proud and blessed.

So thank you all so much and I can't wait to see you all over in baby club!

This is my first pregnancy, and it seems there are some topics that no one will tell me anything about. The one currently on top of my list of worries is Health Insurance for our little one. Is your baby covered under you for the first few weeks after birth, or should I be applying for additional coverage for her NOW so that its ready when she gets here? My current insurance provider is very unhelpful on this topic and I don't know who to ask. I want to make sure that my baby will be covered when she is born.

Not only do I get to celebrate the official start of my third trimester today, but I also have something even more wonderful to cheer about. Maddox is back to his old wriggling, kicking, punching self!!! :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

So, I guess his three days of quiet were due to one of the following:

(A) He was going through a growth spurt and needed to conserve energy.

(B) He had turned in a position that made feeling his movements difficult.

(C) He was amusing himself by terrifying the life out of me.

Personally, I'm going with option C. But that's okay. I don't care if he has a mean sense of humor just so long as he's okay. And feeling him pounding away at my insides is so much more reassuring than the non stress test I had on Tuesday. :flower:

I hope to give birth in any position but on my back. I know it's supposed to be the least effective way of pushing. I was just wondering if any of you ladies here have any experience giving birth in any other position and how did you find it? I am open to anything and plan to do whatever it is my body tells me to during my delivery, but I'd still really like to hear everyone's experiences!

Thanks!

:yipee:Hi, Can't quite believe it but my free pram from Orbit Baby arrived this morning:happydance: I had been in contact with Orbit baby regarding whether they would be selling their prams in the UK from before I was even pregnant  but unfortnately they didn't have any plans for a UK launch

Anyway a few of months ago I received an email inviting me to an Orbit baby focus group in London, where we got to view the products and offer opinions and feedback etc (they are now hoping to launch in the UK this year). At the end of the couple of hours we were told that Orbit would be happy to send us a selection of their products to say thank you :headspin: and this morning my new pram and bassinet arrived:yipee:
It's wonderful you can rotate the seat so LO can face all different directions and also swap the seat for the bassinet. A car seat and adaptor will also be arriving in the next few days :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

SO a little while ago I read somewhere that if you rock back and forth after peeing (while still on the loo of course) it helps to completely empty your bladder which can help with running to the loo every 5 seconds.

ANd Ive been trying this out for a week or so - and I can honestly say ladies, I pee half as much as I used to! Literally!

I actually went from 1am to 6am for last 2-3 nights without a single loo trip!!

Its almost as if I have less pee to get rid of lol

Not sure why it works, not even sure if it will work for everyone but worth a try if the constant peeing is getting to you :)

Just thought I'd share! :flower:

I feel really really off right now - black spots in front of my eyes and really light headed and I randomly started crying for no reason so I went to check my blood pressure at the pharmacy and it was 132/77 which is still in the normal range but is high for me. My record of blood pressure has been: 100/70, 110/70, 100/60, 110/60 - do you think this is something to worry about???

Sorry for popping over here before its time but I need help with my birth plan.My fiancee's family keep inviting themselves to the hospital.I didn't want anyone there but me and him.I told his parents that and of course they were upset so I told them they could come. Then his brother/wife,sister/husband/stepdaughter all invited themselves too.Who knows who else will show up.:growlmad: .On my birth plan there is an option to only let family see our daughter(Cassidy) in the nursery and not have any visitors in the room with me which sounds good to me but I want Cassidy with me as much as possible which is also an option. Is there any nice way of keeping them away from her until we are out of the hospital? I will be breastfeeding and don't want an audience for that and I really feel that I need as much time to bond with her after she is born as possible. Thanks for any help!

As the title says I think I am gonna be having a big baby. I had dreams where she was telling me how big she was a few weeks back. And when I feel her body pressing out it feels so big! Also, this morning when I was laying on my back before getting up to pee she was shifting around and my whole bump was out to the right like she was scrunched up on that side and then she moved her position and it was like a big thud lol Also the pokes to the cervix are starting to get alot more painful!
Anyone else feel like their baby is big? I prefer her to be slightly bigger but not a porker lol

 Hi everyone. :flower:
Looking for a bit of advice/personal experience/info really. As you can see from my sig, we've had a heck of a journey to get where we are with our LO.

Along with a combination of other medication, I was also put on 75mg asprin as I produce tiny clots that may have contributed to all the losses I have had.

Anyways, my consultant wants me to stop the asprin @ 35 weeks, so my blood has time to return to normal thickness by my due date (for obvious reasons).

I can't tell you how TERRIFIED I am! I know it's probably a ridiculous insecurity to have, but I'm worried that once again my body will let me down :(
xxx

Im a bit depressed because i REALLY do NOT want to be induced with this baby, i had a horrible experience with my son's induction. My OB is pretty much saying if he doesnt come on his own by Monday, im going to be induced. ... HELP I NEED TO GET HIM OUT!!! :nope: :nope: :nope:

A silly, but genuine question for a first timer!

I've been looking through the thread for ideas for what to pack in my hospital bag! Almost everyone says they have packed nighties/ pyjamas/ dressing gown /slippers etc and not much mention of other clothes apart from something to wear home! So, if you go in to labour in the morning, and have a normal birth and get home for the evening, do you still only take nightwear? I don't have a dressing gown, slippers or even maternity nightwear (I don't wear nightwear in bed, so havent invested in any for pregnancy!) Do I need to buy these things to take to the hospital, or can I take a cosy maternity cardigan, a comfy pair of pumps and a few vest tops for giving birth in and just a t-shirt for sleeping in! I would feel weird walking around in my pyjamas if it was the middle of the day and I was only in early stages?

Hi ladies,

Just had my final birthing class last night and we had a guest speaker pediatrician come in and she said some things that surprised me....

Hi ladies,

Just had my final birthing class last night and we had a guest speaker pediatrician come in and she said some things that surprised me.

During the first 2-4 months babies eyes may look in different directions and/or roll in the back of her head because the muscles in her eyes will be really weak yet. If LO's eyes rolled to the back of her head and I wasn't told this, DH and I would be flying to the hospital.

A crib bumper should never be used in a crib for the risk of suffocation. I knew there were certain types that were not safe but I just thought as long as you tied the bumper tightly and made sure there were no gaps between the mattress and bumper, it would be fine.

A nursing mother should avoid acidic foods in their diet so baby isn't turned off by smell and taste of breast milk. So very little or no orange juice, tomatoes, red sauces including marinara.

The risk of SIDS decreases significantly in babies that start tummy time right after birth. Tummy time should start with LO laying chest to chest with DH or I and this should be done daily. This makes sense but I never really thought about it.

Anyhow, just thought I'd share for all of you new mommies trying to soak up as much info as you can before LO's arrival.

I have had a bit of a bleed but pink not bright red at 24 weeks, went into hospital and they checked out the cervix - bit like a smear test and worked out that it was because my cervix was "thin" and that this can happen when a vein pops but everything was fine with the baby. Was adviced to come straight back if anything like this ever happened.

So this week on tuesday it started again, I put my feet up and tuesday night the pink started to wipe a little darker, I went to bed hoping for the best. On wednesday morning the wipe was bright red and I had to have a pad on, (Sorry tmi). We rushed to the hospital and the nurses there were brilliant. They monitored the baby's heart for an hour and a half and it seemed she was a happy one doing her wriggles and hb was on an average between 140-155 over the course of time. Then the doctor came to check my insides, she said everything looked fine with the baby but she had a big worry on her face. Apparently she found a polyp on my cervix and kept asking me when I had my last cervical smear. I have had scares in the past where some abnormal cells were found and then I was in the all clear after they treated it over a period of a year. I was then put on 6 monthly smears and then given the all clear about a year ago.

They then took me down to the colscopy unit to have it seen by the consultant who is a cervical cancer specialist. That 5 min walk from the labour ward to the colscopy unit was the worst day I believe of my life, I was in tears, DH was afraid but staying strong for us. I was then put on the chair where the consultant had his utensils and they cut off a 5 inch long polyp from the insides, he looked at things with a microscope which showed that the bleed was from this itself, I had been expecting the worst but he showed me the thick worm like growth which he said felt benign but now it has been sent to the labs to check if it could be malignant (cancerous).

I will get the results in a week's time. They were contemplating keeping me in the hospital but the consultant said it's safe to go home, he said he was confident this is not going to come up with bad news. The bleeding carried on for last night (as expected after the "surgery"). I am feeling a little upbeat at the moment as I feel if they had any doubt they would not have let me come home.

On one hand I am so happy that everything is good with my little Millie but on the other hand I just keep getting the most difficult emotions of fearing the worst. It does not help with the pregnancy hormones ofcourse. Everyone around me are very supportive and am grateful to god that this was caught out when it was but please keep us in your prayers that this will turn out ok.

Just needed to vent.. been feeling quite depressed all morning but okayish now, I just want this week to fly by so I get good news for the results but I know it will drag. Hubby says we need to go away somewhere for a few days, so I might just do that but I keep looking at my son of 3 and telling myself- I need to be here.

hello ladies :flower:

well i have wrote it and re wrote it and finally think i have the finished article can you lovely ladies have a quick read through and tell me what you think and if you think i need to add anything

Birth Plan

Name:- Karla Marsden
Address:- 6 Woodlands View, Rochdale, Lancashire, OL16 2UU
Due Date:- 13th April 2012
Birth Partners:- Lee Kennedy (F.O.B), Gail Rodgers (mother), Clare (doula)
Allergies:- Tegaderm Dressing

Labour and Place of Birth
•	I will be giving birth to my baby at home and intend to deliver in a birthing pool
•	I would like lights and noise kept to a minimum throughout the whole of my labour and delivery
•	I will be staying as mobile as possible and changing positions as i feel necessary
•	Vaginal examinations are to be kept to an absolute minimum so only performed when absolutely necessary and only after gaining my verbal consent
•	I will be eating and drinking freely as and when i feel the need to
Foetal Monitoring
•	I do not what continuous foetal monitoring
•	Any monitoring is to be done by way of a Doppler
•	I do not want internal foetal monitoring on babies head unless medically necessary and only after verbal consent by myself
Induction of Labour
•	I wish to be allowed to go into labour naturally and in my body’s own time
•	I do not want my amniotic membranes to be ruptured artificially unless absolutely necessary and only after my verbal consent
Pain Relief
•	I do not want to be offered any pain relief drugs of any kind, I will ask for them as the need arises
•	I plan on using water/birthing pool as my main form of pain relief as well as other natural methods such as birthing ball, keeping mobile and massage
•	I would like entonox to be available should I ask for it
•	If i am not coping well i would like the option of pethidine/diamorphine before considering the need to transfer to a hospital. I am aware this would mean I would not be able to give birth in the water
Perineal Care
•	I do not want an episiotomy and would prefer to tear naturally in preference to this
•	I would like local anaesthetic to be administered before repairing any damage to my perineum
Delivery
•	I will be choosing whichever position feels best for me to deliver at the time and this may change as i feel it necessary
•	I intend to deliver my baby in the birthing pool
•	I wish to be able to feel my babies head when it crowns
•	I want Lee Kennedy to be as involved in the delivery as he is comfortable with
•	I want as little noise as possible during the active stage of labour and delivery
•	I do not want any assistance with delivery (forceps/ ventouse) unless critical for the safe delivery of my baby
•	I wish Lee Kennedy to catch/deliver the baby
•	I wish Lee Kennedy to place the baby straight onto my chest immediately after delivery
After Delivery
•	I do not want the babies cord to be clamped until it has stopped pulsating
•	Lee Kennedy is to cut the cord
•	I want a natural 3rd stage of labour without oxytocin or any other drugs to help deliver the placenta
•	I will be having a minimum of 60 minutes skin to skin with my baby immediately after delivery
•	Any procedures that need to be carried out on myself or baby can be done while i am having skin to skin contact
•	Weighing and measuring the baby will only be allowed after skin to skin time
•	I am happy for my baby to receive the vitamin K injection
•	No formula is to be given to my baby
•	No pacifiers are to be given to my baby
•	I will be breastfeeding my baby and the first feed will be done while having skin to skin following delivery
•	If it is medically necessary for my baby to be taken away from me Lee Kennedy must remain with baby at all times and his consent must be given before any procedures are performed on our baby
I am aware that circumstances may arise during labour and birth that mean this plan cannot be followed exactly for the safe delivery of my baby but full consent must be obtained before anything other than what is stated on this plan is done to myself or my baby. I am happy to be transferred to a hospital if this is medically necessary for the safety of my baby or me.

sorry its long :flower:
