I thought it was either from my pants, or maybe something temporary.

Yesterday while I was changing clothes, it appeared to be darker. It looks dark blue as if I got it hit by something! Looked at the other thigh and it is also like it but lighter.

I called my doc and he told me to have blood drawn for CBC to check my platelets, but it turned out to be normal.

It is not swollen, neither hurting, but the color is there, and its not a tiny spot, its almost all around my thighs... As previously mentioned, it's dark blue, almost dark green as well. My mom doesnt know what could that be, but my doc wants to see me tomorrow for it.

I was seriously thinking of taking a pic of it so that I would know if it could be something serious or not.. maybe will post it!

Was hooked up to monitors, poked and prodded in the most uncomfortable of places & spent 5 hours sat in a pokey lil room to be told everything is fine but baby is STILL in breech. :dohh:

I was chatting to the midwife on duty & after my last scan was given the impression that a C-section would be the only option as baby is quite big & breech - but the midwife today said that as i'd given birth to a 7lb 3oz baby and an 8lb 3oz baby that if i wanted to she could see no reason why i couldn't give a vaginal breech birth a go. Obviously if something went wrong or i couldn't deliver then they'd have to give me a c-section but that it was essentially up to me.

Has anyone given birth breech before? How big was your baby? Just looking for a bit of advice...I am 30 weeks pregnant and due to work until 9th January...I have used holidays so that this week I will do 4 days work and then the remaining weeks Ill do 3 days / week.

All sounds good but in the last few days Ive been feeling soooo tired, can hardley drag myself out of bed for 10am when Im off and then need to have an afternoon nap. Also on antibiotics for urine and other infection. When working I have to be up at 7am as I have an hours commute to work. Now that the weather has started being bad, icy and snowy I just feel like I want to be at home resting and taking it easy.

Is it possible to say to my employer that I want to finish in a couple of weeks due to all this?

"leaking liquor" on my
notes i take it that means
amnotic fluid???? It

a very stange appointment
he didn't give me any info
i'm not due to see my
midwife for a few weeks
but he insisted i see him
personally next week.

he also said it can be very audible when babys click there joints depending on size and position so im glad it was'nt just my imagination!!! lol
he also checked my bits and im happy to say im 3cm dilated already he said it was very soft and low and done a stretch and sweep !!
he's booked me in for an induction on the 7th which is sun :happydance: in case i havent started by then
but he seemed pretty sure id go into labour before then :happydance:

i am one of those annoying women who dont suffer any pregnancy symptoms, no morning sickness, heartburn, swollen feet, nothing. my first little man is an absolute angel. he is sooooo good. i cant explain how fabulous he is, and he is my absolute world i love him like crazy. i have a husband who means everything to me, looks after me like the princess i am but works a little to hard and long for my liking (although i know he does it all for our family).

so what might be my problem you ask? well im almost 34 weeks pregnant with number 2, and again have not suffered at all so far. having said that i have been having strong braxton hicks for a few weeks and my whole stomach is in constant pain - if im not contracting im aching from contracting. i cant sleep well at night and so am exhausted in the daytime. i am constantly checking because it feels like my waters have gone, my boobs are huge and leaking (were talking a 38k) and its all starting to make me a bit miserable and teary which isnt like me.

i dont want to say ive had enough, but really ive had enough! deacon arrived 2 weeks early so im hoping the same with this one. i saw mw this morning and she thinks i probably will go early with these symptoms, but of course baby will arrive when baby is ready. im so excited about meeting him/her and extending our gorgous family, i really wish that i knew when he/she was arriving and i could just get that in my head. i feel guilty for feeling this way, and dont really want to admit to hubby or rest of family how im feeling. i know ill be ok as soon as bump arrives - why does pregnancy last so long!!!!

I can't quite believe it but it's my due date TODAY!!!! :happydance: Woohoo!!!!

Just got back from my 40 week MW appt wasn't expecting much, she did the usual BP - fine, Urine - fine, Baby HB and position - fine and then she offered me a sweep and to see how things are progressing down there, so I did! lol.

She said I'm about 1cm dilated (lol) but the cervix is still a bit long. All my cramps etc are a great sign. She said if you have a sweep you're more likely to go into natural labour than have to have an induction. She said I might get some bleeding today but if nothing happens then she'll book me in for an induction on the 12th December (or longer if I prefer!) Basically they arnt sure what caused the blood. They listened to his heartbeat and it was fine. She did an internal (which was horrible) and my cervix is doing nothing at all :hissy:. And after reading all the birth stories, i think im gunna be such a big baby and scream from start to stop, which i really don't want to do.

And then after wards I'm going to have a little boy and i havn't got a clue what I'm doing. I mean yeah i can change nappies and feed him. But being a mum is so much more than that like teaching him right from wrong, Bringing him up to be a decent person and giving him a really good childhood, keeping him safe from all harm and the list goes on and on. I know i should have thought of all this before i had sex and got pregnant at 16 but i love Aidan more than anything, i just don't know if i'm good enough to be his mummy.

Its just hit me now. We've just had the nursery re-carpeted so everything had to come out and now we've just put it all back in. And I realised a few things.

1. Weve been given WAY too much stuff by people - lots of blankets and clothes. Now I really do appreciate all of it but we already have a LOT of stuff that we have bought ourselves. Now all the stuff we bought has all been washed. But there are bags and bags of stuff just sitting in the bottom of his wardrobe that needs washing. I have no energy to do any of it and theres seriously sooo much. And I know people that have MORE stuff for us and when he's born people are gonna buy evennn more!! This just means shed loads more washing to do :( It has to be done but I look at it and get so stressed I just walk away.

2. I'm really worried about having a baby now. That sounds soo stupid but like I dont really know the Do's and Dont's if you like. I'm bottle feeding and I know theres so many things to do and dont do with bottle feeding and I havent got a clue. I dont know how to use the stereliser etc... :hissy: And I'm worried about room temps and blankets and him wriggling under blankets.

Sooo sorry for the rant girls but Im feelin really stressed and kinda lost. But at the same time I really just want him here now!! But I feel like I'll have him and wont have a clue what to do :(

Yes, i know i'm jumping the gun coming to 3rd tri early, but i've been on various levels of bedrest and boredom for the last 2 months and getting to Big Girl Tri is something i've been dreaming of getting to for weeks now!

Little update - i had a cervical stitch put in at 17 weeks as my cervix started to shorten, so been driving myself mad lying on the sofa all day ever day pretty much for the last 8 weeks. Started to pop out a bit more this last week or so, but still anxious about preterm labour, and have had to give up work / social life etc, to keep this little girl in! I have gone slightly mental due to boredom (but luckily as i'm nearing 28 weeks the baby shopping is starting, so i finally have something fun to do!! Hooray for consumerism and shopping on the internet!!)

So that's me.....now here's my first proper 3rd tri question:

My bump really aches... Some days it's worse than others, but last night i couldn't sleep at all as baby was kicking around like mad, and i kept of getting sharp little twinges on my sides.

Today the bottom of my bump feels really sore, like the muscles are aching or been kicked in the lower tummy. it seems worse when i'm doing less weirdly, so wondering if it's my lack of exercise due to bed rest, and increasingly bad muscle tone making it hurt?

anyone else had similar feelings?

also I have a consultant appointment after and wondered if i will have to take a urine sample and have a blood pressure check? (reason for scan etc is preeclampsia in both previous pregnancies)

Update #1: I sent Tyff a message back asking if she was okay, she said that she has some whiplash and that the man hit them pretty hard.

Update #2: Just got the following text from Tyff...."Out now. All is okay with baby, but have to watch for signs of placental abruption for next 24 hours. Not concerned if it starts labor as I am 36 weeks. I am really sore though, back is tender, but most important thing is that she is ok. DH is going to come home early and watch me."

Well I have been round there today and within 5 minutes she cam and sat on my knee with her feet laying on my bump. Within about 2 minutes I started with a contraction. She jumped off after 5 mins but got back up on me three time while I was there....each time she laid on my bump and each time i got a contraction within 5 mins of her laying on me.

I vomitted the worst I ever had and i have vommited some amount through this anyway but only MS. Last night was like terrible and there was even blood in it.

Had again pains but worse all over my bump and back and a feeling of a bowling ball in my ass. I felt down there and it feels like baby has dropped and i have a lot of dischrage. My ankles are really sore for some reason. I can feel baby moving so it must be fine i just dont feel fine at all. :cry:

I will probably feel like a big duh if she leaves and nothing is wrong but i didnt ask them to call they insisted and the hospital is 8 mile from me and they dont seem to mind. I cant get there dads at work and no car. :cry: they going to check me out BP etc.

Least i get to explain all thats wrong with me and worries. For some reaon i have been panicying about having everything i just hope thats not a sign To early for baby yet.

baby is even kicking in a lower place it was by ribs but is in middle and down a bit. I can feel a weight between my legs.

Hope you all well and coping, im sure ive missed a tonne of things babies arriving etc.. but boy what a few weeks , to cut a long story shirt, I was in and out of delivery suite 4 times 2 weeks ago due to small bleeds.. Eventually i had quite a large clot TMI,,, and was admitted, put on bed rest and in went the IV and off i went to be scanned only ot find out LO was tranverse lie and i had too much amniotic fluid. SOO needless to say i was not allowed home due ot possible cord prolapse etc.

Anyway bleeding eventually stopped but had a lot of no nos in my urine so was put on anti biotics and iron as i was aneamic.. booked in with my consultant to have a ECV (manual turn of little one) .. Shes now in the right place but for how long goodness knows due to the fluid, Im only 38 weeks and 2 days but consultant want to induce me next week due ot all of the above. was in false labour yesterday for a few hours but have been thinking about you all even as i lay in hospital bed ))))

Darren got me his new DVD for xmas and I wont open it till xmas and its sitting under the tree so I decided to allow myself just a few mins on youtube and no more for a taster.

Okay, so reality is starting to bite! I've just been on a tour of my maternity hospital and i've now realised that the whole birth bit is now inevitable. So i've been thinking all day about how i want to tackle the birth (in an ideal world..)

My hospital has just opened a brand new birth centre, and it's amazing. Massive private rooms (private as in alone, not private = tonnes of money!), with aromatherapy, soft lights, birthing pool, sofa's and all sorts of mats and slings for an active birth. Really gorgeous and calm looking, like a spa. It's made me think more about trying for a more natural birth, (as my Plan B is to scream for an epidural at the earliest point!)

I've also just got a Natal Hypnotherapy DVD to practice with - basically it aims to help you prepare and focus on dealing with the anxiety and fear of birth, and how to help yourself do as much as you can for yourself naturally.... I had originally thought it was all a load of bo**ocks, but now think, hey i may as well give it ago, as it can't do me any harm!!

What is everyone else planning? I know birth plans will probably go out the window, but i'm just trying to get my head around it a bit. I'm scared of gas and air as i hate feeling out of control and woozy. But then i\ve never had it before - can anyone enlighten me on it?

We had a play with the shops. As we OH's dad bought it for us back at @ 20weeks, so i wanted a refresh on how it all comes together.
We then dropped it off at OH's Dads, and we had a proper play hee hee!! Which was lovely, we took it in turns to put it all together, and then take apart.
Really pleased with it, cant wait for Squiggle to arrive..... though all this putting together lark, i.e nursery and buggy means its all SOOOOOO close.

If any one lives near Cambridge, worth visiting Baby Boodle, thats where we got it from, and they was the most helpful people you could imagine, and also stored the buggy until your ready for collection. Plus they now do a reward card! So that ment we got what we planned on buying today extra was FREE lovely old JOB!!!

Just popped in quickly to say Baby Alfie arrived on 27/11/08 at 7.42am was labouring from 5am on 26th went into hospital at 1pm as thought my waters had gone ut they hadn't ut when the MW examined me i was 5cm dilated!!!! couldn't believe it!! I laboured right the way thru the night and into the morning was pushing for 2 hours and ended up needing ventoos as bubs was slighty in wrong position but he finally arrived weighing 10lb 5oz!!!!!! He is soooooo gorgeous i've added some pics for you all xxxxxxx

I basically have had to just hope I'm holding the cup in the right place. Yuck.

So I usually end up peeing on my own hand. Gross. I have this new method.
I take two cups and a massive wad of toilet paper. Write my name on one cup and put that aside. Pee all over the other cup and my hand, so I quickly pour the wee into the clean cup and wrap up the wee-ed on one and don't touch anything or let any drips go anywhere. Then put the clean wee filled cup in that special cubby they have with my clean hand and then scrub up.

Quite a rigmarole. They must wonder what takes me so long.
Oh and the whole thing makes me huff and puff lots.

ITS RIDICULOUS.

Also, why when you are pregnant does the wee come out at all random angles???? GAH!

Baby had barely grown i had had reduced movements and they think baby is distressed. It sounds like there could be a problem with placenta. I was in shock till last night and now wish i had asked more questions. I came home last night for a rest as cant sleep in hosp. I am back in this morning for baby to be monitored again. But they are saying its a fine line as to whether it best for baby to stay inside or to be brought out early.
I am only 33 weeks and 4 days and a tiny baby. I am absolutely terrified.
Should i be asking any particular questions as im in too much of a daze to think straight.

Every now and then im itching in different places, my legs,hands,feet,neck,face,bump. (Never all at the same time) I have never felt... Am I itchy?!

Every now and then im itching in different places, my legs,hands,feet,neck,face,bump. (Never all at the same time)

I have never felt like this before. Is it anything to worry about?
Or is it normal?

I've got so much to be happy for, so I shouldn't be like this, but I'm feeling so stressed out today.

Its really been hitting me over the last couple days that bean could arrive at anytime. Even if we did make it to due date, which is super unlikely, that's still not very far away! I feel sooo unprepared. And being on bedrest, there's so little I can do about it! It's driving me mad.

Over the last 2 days, I've been in the hospital twice - once for an fFN (which thankfully came back negative, so I'm not likely to go into labour in the next 7-10days), and then twice for steriod shots as my cervix has shortened. And then last night, talking to the doctor, I found out the the sonographer told me a different length than she reported to the doctor, presumably not to worry me. So where I thought it was 2.5cm, it's actually gone down to 2cm. Down a whole cm in the last 2 weeks!

I'm worried about being taken away from my family to do hospital bedrest or if baby come before 34 weeks to be transferred to an out of town hospital which has preemie facilities. How would my family manage??? I don't even know how to begin to prepare for that circumstance, should it happen.

Even as it is now, with getting heaps of help from friends with childcare and casserole deliveries, my husband is finding it stressful having to take care of the children all the hours outside of his working hours. I feel horrible laying on the couch watching him struggle and get frustrated with the kids when they have the normal little meltdowns that little kids have.

Well, thanks for hearing me out. Byron Coleridge Buchan was finally delivered by ventouse cup at 11:40am, Friday 28th November, weighing 6lb12oz, 34 hour after my waters broke. So much for my romantic home birth in a pool! But for that, another day. In the mean time, attached is a pic of DH and Byron.

Well a letter arrived from the hospital thismorning saying
