My OH was doing it last night and my dad used to do it so loud I could hear him upstairs! I've been around men a lot whilst football has been on it and I'd say 90% of them shout at the screen! THEY CAN'T HEAR YOU when you start shouting at the referee as if trying to negotiate with them about a player. First incident was when I went with my mother to check out the baby section.. Sears' website is sort of sucky for working on your baby registry, so when I saw that I actually liked some things in store, I wanted to work on it. We went to customer service but their scanners were broken and we were sent back to the baby area, since they had their own. However, the woman in the baby department saw us coming or something and got on her PERSONAL cell phone and proceeded to have a PERSONAL phone call while she could see that my mother and I needed assistance. We were about 5 feet away from her desk and she just stood there, chatting away.. I'd understand if there were some extraordinary circumstances, but she was just chatting!! Ugh!! So I will NOT be buying any of my baby stuff from Sears, and I really wished that I had called the store manager, but not wanting to get into that, I didn't. Also, she was an older lady.. who I'd generally expect to have WAY better manners.. so it was even MORE shocking to me! It wasn't even like she was discriminating against me for being a young mom or something, I was with my own mother who was in her work clothes (business attire) and I was on my way back from a dinner out so I was well put together!

The next day, my friend and I ran over to Sears to finish up her Christmas shopping for her boyfriend. She wanted to buy him the new Armani cologne but she didn't know the name of it, and just went to the fragrances counter looking for help. She explained that the cologne was new, the brand name, and the way the bottle looked. Stupid lady told her the only Armani cologne she had heard of was Acqua de Gio (or however you spell it, lol!!) and told us to try THE BAY (their COMPETITION) for it!! When my friend then asked if she could pay for her robe that she was buying at that counter, she told us that we could only pay for our stuff there if we were buying cologne.. need I remind you that we fully intended to buy a bottle of cologne there, and she was of no help, so I thought the least she could do would be to ring us through since the central cash was on the other side of the store and lined up! I guess not though!!

Then tonight I was out shopping with my boyfriend, he wanted to buy his father an MP3 player for Christmas. We walked up to the counter in the electronics department, and no employees were in sight. We waited for about 5 minutes, and an employee slumped a box onto the counter in front of us. He literally ignored us, did not ask if we needed something or even acknowledge that we were standing there, and continued to chat with the customer he was serving while we were standing there.. the least he could say was "Hi is someone helping you" or "I'll be with you in just a minute after I ring this gentleman through". I looked at him with one of those, "hello?!" faces, and he looked back at me, looked down, and continued to ignore us! So we went off to Best Buy to buy the MP3 player instead.

If I wanted to write a letter complaining about the lack of care and poor service I've received lately, where would I start/send it to? All 3 of these employees were down right RUDE for absolutely no reason.. lest they forget us teenagers have the most disposable income of anyone out there, lol. A summary:
1. A new "zero-tolerance" policy will be instituted regarding speeding. This means that any driver under the age of 21 with a G1 or G2 will risk losing their license if they are caught speeding. No questions asked.
Strict suspension policies also apply to G drivers.
For speeding that causes demerit points, the following rules apply.
- First instance - 30-day licence suspension;
- Second instance - 90-day licence suspension;
- Third instance - the driver must return to the start of the
graduated licensing program (G1).
Whether it be 10 km/h over the speed limit or 50 km/h, we can kiss our license goodbye.

2. Same idea as above with the "zero-tolerance", but this one is in regards to drinking. NO ONE under the age of 21 will be allowed to drive with ANY amount of alcohol in their system. If they are found to have the slightest bit of alcohol in their blood, their license is pulled. Just like that. Gone. The G license no longer allows you to have a blood alcohol level of 0.05. Blood alcohol must be ZERO at all times, or you run the risk of losing your license.

3. This one might be the worst. It involves G2 drivers. At NO point is ANY G2 driver allowed to have more than ONE passenger under the age of 19 in their car, in their first year of G2. At any time. One friend, max. This doesn't apply to family. Thinking of packing a car full of friends like usual? Forget it. They'll take your license.



I'm writing a letter to my MPP, although the law doesn't affect me much as I'm 19 and my blood alcohol will be zero for the next few months (at least!) it affects my 20-year-old boyfriend, a lot of our friends, and my younger siblings.

Most of the proposed conditions sound reasonable to me.. that is, if they were applied to ALL new drivers, not just young drivers. When I go out during the day, I find it is the WORST TIME to be driving as people don't have a clue as to what they're doing behind the wheel!! And where are our young drivers? In school, not on the roads causing problems. In fact, evenings seem to be the best time to get around usually, which is when the youth of Ontario are most likely to be out driving!

This law would mean that drunk teenagers (I'm sorry, it's just a reality that teens drink underage and it's not really going to stop!) can't select a designated driver... or that they would each need their own driver.

It also means that high school students can't carpool to football games, daily classes, or to school field trips because they can only have one passenger under 19 in their car at once! I was home alone one night and I heard a sound in my house. Like our kitchen bin lid closing. A sharp "tap".
I went to investigate and couldn't see any cause for it. I put it down to being something outside.

A few days later, I came home and my mum had locked the door. She came through and said she'd locked the door because she thought she'd heard the bin lid closing, and it had freaked her out. Later on this night my mum said she'd heard the bin again and she also heard our plates clatter, like someone was walking through the kitchen and had picked up a plate from the trolley on the way through. No obvious cause.

The next day, my BF and I were sat in the living room and we heard the noise again, sounded like the bin lid dropping down and no real cause for it. It also sounded very much inside..rather than a noise from outdoors. My boyfriend also agreed.

We heard it again over the next couple of days. Just the once a night, no real cause...no set time...

Well, this evening, we haven't heard it (yet) but earlier on a part of our chimney collapsed, bricks came tumbling down off the roof, bringing tiles with it... Scared us, because we thought next door had come down the stairs or something, then it continued and sounded much louder and heavier. Shook me up quite a bit..

My mum reckons it could be my grandma, she had warned us about the chimney by tapping the bin... But we were in no obvious danger from the chimney and I'm wondering if it's a clearer, more definate warning....to add onto the bin tapping. It's kinda freaked me out and I'm considering going to stay at my BF's mums tonight or something....

Anyway, I've been kinda....talking to my Grandma recently, with all the crafts and stuff I've been doing, because she was always the one to knit and handmake things. I've been using her sewing machine and asking for her help to get the thing working (it's always been a bit temperamental)....so maybe it could be her making her presence known. Perhaps the chimney and the bin aren't connected, but it's strange that it's just been over the past week or so and then this happens.....

I also tested the bin tonight, you literally need to lift it up an inch, maybe less, for it to make the "tap" noise loud enough to be heard throughout the house. If a spirit was trying to make contact, it's the easiest thing in the house to make the most noise with the least energy spent....

Eeeeeeh. I'm just kinda freaked out. What if it's something else? Or a warning that we needed to be out of the house tonight?

My boyfriend's really helped by knowing that I'm freaked out and going to sit upstairs! I seen these wrapping sheets on studio that was used to wrap pressies that where hard to wrap. It was just a sheet of metaltic paper and a wee fancy rope thing to tie around the top. I have many tins of roses/quality street to wrap for ohs family and they are a pain to wrap and take ages and never quite look right! Ok ok i sound like i have a lot of time on my hands but honestly i dont! lol

Now i went on the studio webbie and cant find it! ahhhhhhhhh mybe they have sold out! The nearest thing i can find is one son ebay but they are made of like netting material and i want the wrapping paper metitic ones

He was on a night shift looking over a patient who was very, very ill and had been begging him to help her die for weeks. Apparently all she would say on his shifts was, "help me. Please help me die. Help me die." Well on this shift she was just quiet. And still.

When he looked at his phone there was a video on it, but he phone hadn't left his pocket all night...

The video has no image, but white noise and the sound of someone breathing and speaking, but it's not that easy to make out what is being said.

The patient did not speak or move since that night, and passed away a few days later.

Well, the vile little prick that did this to OH, had a plea case..and he pleaded NOT GUILTY! This is despite there being plenty of witnesses saying that he attacked my OH by getting him in a headlock and stabbing the glass into his face!! :cry:

my question is, has anyone here been to court for something similar before? He was charged with GBH with intent..so pretty serious? Also does anyone know what we will have to do? Will there be a jury?

The vets thought she had a brain tumour and last night when I went to see her, she looked awful. She was just like an empty shell.
