Last year my roommates left me in charge of the vegetable garden they started & planted and I managed to not kill it so I decided to have a go with flowers and had some pretty good luck!

This year I move at the end of April so while I'm really keen to have a veggie garden of my own... it's going to be difficult to do while focusing on moving, wrapping up the semester at university, and growing baby, plus my job.

Working in a steak house it surprises me how many people dint actualy have a clue about the differant ways to cook it.
I get people that order medium rare then complain its undercooked and to bring them another meal and others who order well done then complain its chewy and over coooked.
Plus so many ask me what the differance is, I dont understand people who order it not knowing how they want it cooked.

The dentist mentioned hitting my jaw bone to get the teeth out or something like that; to be honest I didn't really want to know the gory details so didn't enquire any further!

I have heard stories of people being so out of it they don't even remember anything and say and do odd things. I wonder what drugs they're being given for that?

I put a heat pad on it and it helped somewhat. The pain wasn't severe, but achy. So this morning I woke up and it seemed to be a little worse. So I put heat on it again, but this time its not helping. And the pain seems to be moving around to my side and occasionally I'll get pains in the front that almost feel like period cramps. I do currently have AF but I never get cramps 3 days in. It's a weird pain, almost feels like when I had back labor with my son, but farther to the outside. And I've had lots of back pain in my life. I went to physical therapy for sciatica etc. This doesn't feel like typical back pain. It doesn't get worse when I move certain ways and doesnt get better if I stretch like muscular pain would. I'm lying in bed with heat on it and without moving it does get worse wnd then better and then worse. Like contractions. Lol It peaks and then subsides, etc. Could it be a small stone? I've always heard how excrutiating kidney stones are and this certainly isn't excrutiating, but its annoying for sure. I wasn't sure where to post this so apologies if it's in the wrong place!

My DD is due to have her first MMR jab soon and I'm now in two minds as to whether to give it to her or not. Both my OH and I have had it and never had any problems as a result (or non that we know of!). I've always thought it's fine to give to children as it's been used for so long and imo the pro's outweigh the cons but now the time has come for my LO to have it I don't know what to do for the best.

Thought you lovely ladies could offer me some words of advice/wisdom if you can.

They are both looking slightly golden where they have worn but as ive only just had one ring re-plated im a bit gutted that it wont last!

I've been in my house 2 years this july & i am finally getting round to decorating :happydance: LO's room was done before we moved in (typical :haha:) & i've left rest of the house until now

This is what i'm wanting for the rooms just so you know which colours have already been used:

Kitchen - white & pink on walls (pink as i have pink canvas pics, cutlery)
Living room - beige, cream & duckegg
Bathroom - light mint green & white with peach & white tiles
LO room - dark & light blue
My bedroom - CLUELESS!!

Please help! now i've never been happy with the way they've treated him. he's never had a copy of his contract which really irritates me. everytime he asks the manager for one he just says he will sort it out. we needed copies of his payslips at one point and he again asked the manager and nothing ever got done.

he's always expected to stay late. i wouldn't mind if it were 10 minutes here and there but it's half an hour to an hour every day. he doesn't get a proper day off. the only time he does is when we have to go somewhere so he has to ask. these are just small things that wind me up though. i'm petrified of going into labour during the day when he's at work. there's no way he would ever get anybody else in to cover him if he had to leave.

but there are also a few things wrong in the actual workplace. there is no access to drinking water AT all. they have a huge handwashing basin and that's it. in the toilet (not that this bothers him directly) there's no sanitary bin, so the girls put there used stuff in the normal bin (nowhere else to put it so i don't blame them!) but OH is expected to empty this every two hours. :shrug: i just think it's really bad hygiene. especially as they don't wear gloves to make the pizzas (they don't have to for some bizarre reason!)

i'm pretty sure the above two are laws aren't they? they have no 'break' area. OH works during the day and it's just him alone in the shop with one other driver. so he doesn't get a break all day. i didn't think that was allowed.

My query is this: When a child gets a word that you can't sound out what do i do? Do i just get them to sound it out and then tell them what the word is if they can't work it out? Also the same for new words that they don't know at all. Do i tell them what the word is if they can't work the new word out?

Her and her brother (same litter) are not allowed in the bedrooms and have a bed upstairs on the landing and happily sleep there.

It's totally random when she does it.

She has food in her bowl she get loads of attention etc so im stumped?

Every so often she will get a thump from Evie and sometimes her brother stays out all day and will come strolling in about 10pm

You can easily record films that are being shown on the movie channel, box office or normal tv & we all used to tape the top 40 on a sunday or tape a friends new Take That album etc

I've never had anything done professionally except an eyebrow shape once, where the beauty therapist basically told me I had crap eyebrows with regard to shape & couldn't do much with them! LOL people still compliment me on my eyebrow shape though even though I do them myself these days :shrug:

I am thinking now though that I would like an eyebrow & eyelash tint and want to get them done in a salon. Anyone had this done? Was it worth it? Maybe a spray tan too, i'm naturally really pale and when I have tried in the past to do fake tans at home it only ever seems to stick to my legs and arms?! 'Good'-make ones too such as St Tropez. I can never tan my chest, it just doesnt work?! :dohh: So I'm thinking a pro could probably sort me out!!

Anyone else get any treatments? Care to share your experiences? We're now taking legal action against them, we've given them 10 months to sort the problems in our house & they haven't.

Basically me, my partner & our nearly 8 month old son live in a private rented house which we pay £575 a month for, I'm getting sick of paying £575 for a house that has so many problems, we cannot afford moving again as it costs well over £1000 to do so and it is just my partner who works, anyway the problems start downstairs our kitchen cabinets aren't fitted properly and chunks of plaster fall out of it, there is damp and mold around the kitchen window, the dining area heating doesn't work I've reported it so many times now and nobody come to fix it... our front room the doors in the back aren't fitted properly again with mold around it and the wood at the bottom has rotted away oh again the heater doesn't work! Upstairs mold in our son's room and our bedroom and the bathroom and the worse thing, the electrics they have not been tested and my partner is an electrician and it is the law that the electrics are tested every 3 years or when a new tenant enters the property, which the didn't do, we've told them on several occasions to sort the problems but they haven't so I have now got legal advice and we are going to take further action, we aren't mugs and we know are rights! I've had a problem with my shoulder fro the past 6ish months.
Every so often probably once a month I have really ba pain from my right Shoulder blade up to my neck only on the left side. When I move my shoulder I can feel clicking aNd griding! I also makes my left arm go numb and I have pins and needles in my fingers! Turning my head is painful and sleeping is impossible

I saw a Nurse a few months who said it was probably from sleeping awkward and prescribed be gel to put on the painful area! I know it's from not sleeping awkward as I wake up an feel fine and then it just "comes on"!

I have an appointment with the dr on tues but I don't think I can wait that long and worry that by Tuesday all will be fine!
