| Can You Buy Clomid Privately ?? Hiya
I'll keep this as brief as poss.
I have PCOS and was offered clomid by my endo in Nov. At that time I wasnt TTC and my main concern was gfor my weight as its spiralling out of control.
I was prescribed metformin and lost a fair amont of weight quite quickly. I fell preg and miscarried at 5 wks. We have agreed to officially TTC now and my AF has just started. I would like to try clomid but cannot get to see my endo til next week which at that point will be too late for this cycle, is there anywhere or anyway i could obtain some in the short term???????? Im desperate lol
Thanks & apologies for being a serial poster xx | | | | Status: Offline

| I don't think it's possible to get it privately. I was prescribed Clomid and when I visited the health nurse, who herself had got pregnant using it, she told me that it's important to have support from your GP/health nurse whilst taking it. Her opinion was that it shouldn't be used without this and I tend to agree with her.
That word 'desperate' and TTC definitely go hand in hand and you sound like me that if you are going to try something, you want it to be NOW. My advice would be to wait though and do it with the support, it will be better in the long run.
Best of luck and | | | | Status: Offline

| Thanks everyone for ur replies. I know my endo will prescribe the drug for me as he offered it last time, but its just bad timing with my AF and the apt date which I have. I had ideally wanted to try and get it started and into my system for this cycle and thought as its only a matter of days before I see my endo that I might just might be able to obtain a small supply privately.
Totally understand about the supervision whilst on the drug etc & completely agree with u Tishimouse about being desperate whilst TTC and wanting everything NOW lol | | | | Status: Offline

| i know how you feel.....I knew that at my next FS appointment I would be prescribed clomid. Then 7 days before my appointment AF started!! I was desperate to get hold of some clomid so that I wouldn't 'waste' a month! It was all in vain cos I couldnt get any and then at my appointment I was prescribed clomid and I was cd7....too late Now I am desperate that AF shows up and this cycle finishes so I can start clomid! cd30 today and the worst thing is I dont know how long my cycle will go on for! Wish you luck though. | | | | Status: Offline

| I really can empathise because thats exactly how im feeling right now and I know that the exact same thing will happen to me. Its so frustrating and heartbreaking too in a way yet there is simply nothing at all that can be done.
Hope ur AF comes soon so u can get started asap with the clomid and of course best of luck for ur BFP
Thanks xx | | | | Status: Offline

| Well how wrong was i !!
Saw my endo today and he says I cant have clomid yet as I managed to concieve recently despite the fact it ended in early m/c and that for 2 years prior to that I failed to concieve at all most likely due to my PCOS.
I explained that I had been charting and that I appeared to be having physical symptoms of "O" but not necessarily ovulating each month but it was still a no.
Im quite surprised and disapointed to be honest, I did say I would be happy to pay privately but he said I couldnt tow between his NHS & Private services.
Feels like another stumbling block, not sure if going back to my GP is worth a try and maybe see if they will prescribe it privately for me if they say no to NHS
Frustrated to say the least! x | | | | Status: Offline
