Would love to smack her sometimes. Am sick of her lies and her superiority. Everyone at work knows she lies. She is famed for it. The minute she told us she had conceived with half a womb we looked it up. It's so rare that there is actually a news article about a woman who did the same. No prizes for guessing it wasn't Clare.

She is doing that whole "politically correct" thing. This woman MUST have post natal depression therefore fuck the kids, we MUST pity her. Well, I'm sorry, but I don't. Even a mother with post natal depression would not purposely neglect to tell the people holding her in custody that her kids have been alone for eight hours. Why didnt she do it? Because she was too busy looking out for herself.

You are definiatly not being oversensitive, if I had heard about the shoplifting woman leaving her kids at home alone at that age I would hav gone off on one major rant and I would not care about any extenuating circumstances. And as for saying you don't know you would never leave your kids alone well sorry but I think we can catagorically say we wouldn't do that and anyone who could put their children's needs before their own would. If I did feel that my head was all over the place and I needed time out I would ensure my children were being well looked after and cared for by my DH or my parents first. Maybe you should tell your boss what she said...i.e. that she thinks that the woman leaving her kids alone for 8 hours while she was shoplifting is excusable and down to postnatal depression? You cannot say that she has PND unless it has been diagnosed by a doc or psychiatrist...as you said the woman is giggling on the phone and stealing which she probly did before she had her kids so that cant be an excuse! Not sure what job you do but Social services should definitley get involved and try and get the kids a safer home......thats exactly how baby P died.....how can these neglectful people be allowed to breed?

To be fair, its our job to find a suitable defense for a person who has committed a crime but I have no excuse for her. Thank God she's not someone I have to speak to.

As for Clare, well, she is pathetic. It just made me so mad that she KNOWS what my husband and I are currently about to go through yet she still felt the need to get in a little dig about how I have no children. Yes, I know that. I'm painfully aware of that.

But, like someone else said, if my head WERE all over the place I would not leave my babies home alone to go out stealing. I'd make sure they were safe THEN I'd go out stealing.
