What has been your longest cycle?

Hi ladies,

Just wondered any of you girls who have had irregular cycles, what has been your longest one?

I'm now on cycle day 85 - before this my cycles have all been around 33 days since I had Mirena Coil removed. I have booked a doctors appointment for tomorrow night, but not sure if I should go or not.

I am due to start Clomid as soon as I get AF. Do you think it's better to just let nature take its course however long it takes? Or do you think I should get the doctor to prescribe something to bring on a bleed so I can move forward with Clomid?

Hey chick,

My longest was between March08-September 08. I've had progesterone induced periods since then. So god knows how long it would have gone on without scientifical intervention.

Personally, I would ask your doctor to give you some progesterone to bring on your period so you can start your Clomid!

Hi Hayz

My longest cycle was 115 days.
I know how frustrating it is waiting for AF to turn up.
My Dr was reluctant to give me Provera to induce a period, but if you want to go on it, I dont think they can stop you.

Hiya,

Longest cycle I've had was 5 months long! But just found out i have pcos and have been told i can take Provera if i need too.

It won't do any harm for u to see the G.P, even if only to put ur mind at rest. They might do bloods to make sure everything is ok.

SNAP me too 115 days! I was having really irregular periods before I got my clomid and the fertility nurse told me if I didn't get AF within a month to call and they would do some blood work to check levels to see if I could start or they would prescrib me something to start AF.

Well, my last one was on June 27th, so I think I am getting close to 200 days... I would have to sit down with a calendar to get exact days

I missed a period entirely once, which was scary because I was in a new relationship and thought I was pregnant. I wasn't. I was just late. Two months I guess it was. That was 10 years ago. Right now I am on CD30, which is the longest I have had since then. Most of the time I am CD22-CD25.

Thanks for all your replies. Well, cycle day 86 today. I will go the doctors tonight, but had EWCM again yesterday (for the fourth time this cycle) so even if she prescribes me something, will probably still wait a few days to see if I get a temp shift before I take anything.

Ideally I'd like my body to sort itself out without provera but equally I feel like I'm just wasting time waiting. It's tricky, but I'll chat to doc tonight and see what she says
