I'm determined to enjoy my time with my family have a few drinks and gear up to oing around new year eve! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you you never know you might get a nice surprise on christmas day or boxing day!

You are not alone, last Christmas I thought that by this time we would be well on our way but life has not turned out how we wanted it to! Keep your chin up and hang in there.

I love being with my family but i do feel more sad around Christmas - yesterday we all went on the Santa train and me and DF were in a carriage on our own and everyone was joking calling it the love carriage because we were just a couple with no kids. It was lovely to see my nephews excited but I felt that me and DF looked like saddos at our age with no kids. I even wanted to ask santa for a baby.

I think I am alright with Christmas, just seeing it as a break and an excuse to eat loads. Nothing to do with cute kids and happy families....I may have to put a ban on anything on television that involves babies though.

I'm not sure what I'm feeling about xmas really .... on one hand i'm looking forward to being off work, hanging out with OH and friends and family and going on holiday
But .... i had an mc last xmas day (great timing huh) we will be spending lots of time with two little nephews, and there will be loads of talk from parents (all in their 60's now) about 'xmas is for kids' and 'we only do xmas for the kids' etc etc etc, and i'm also dreading in case (although i've no real reason to think this!) there might be a big pg announcement from some member of the family ..... bah humbug from me too !
i hope we can all have a reasonably nice time over xmas and new year though ... and here's to 's to us all in 2009

I've been through too many Christmas while TTC to let it get to me now. I focus on having my family close to me. I'd love to have a baby for Christmas, but I can't let that get in the way of being thankful for the things I DO have.

I thought it would bother me. It's been a stressful year, but I put up my little tree yesterday turned the lights on and watched my furbabies become amazed by the tinsle and it made me feel warm inside. lol, so I think I'll be ok. x
