I was due this but it was changed to a hysteroscopy, D&C and getting the coil.Laparascopy is by far less scary than it looks. A girl from work had it and was left with a tiny scar under her belly button that you can't even see now. She was up walking about and in visiting us the next day. I can only go on the hysteroscopy for feeling, but that was only like really heavy cramps afterwards, yeah painful, but nothing we can't handle Not wanting to scare you or sugar coat it, thats just the truth. Good luck

Depends on the person & the hospital. I've seen a couple of diff stories about laps.

I had mine & I was cut above my fairy & in my belly button. Now I was always very sensitive inside my belly button & above my fairy is where my skin bends when I sit, get up etc. So I found after very hard & quite painful for a handful of days. I would say over all its not too bad but the first time I guess is scarey in mind too ... I hated going under & the hospital ceiling on the way in was filthy LOL

Seen some girls mention one cut - Yvanne somewhere to the side I think she said (hope you don't mind me mentioing you Yvanne).

Just the honest reply from me hun

Haha Wobs...I got left in the hall for ages, was told when i arrived that I wasn't allowed to get into bed as someone else might need it, and only was allowed to get in (to the same bed they didnt need after all) when i was being taken down to theatre...again to sit in the hall. How do ceilings get so mucky in there?

I work in the day surgery unit and we do Lap's as a day case here, and they do it with 2 incisions. As its key hole surgery the wound are very small!

You may feel uncomfortable for the rest of the day as they fill your belly up with air to get a better view, therefore trapped and painful wind can sometimes be a problem afterwards. Most woman who have it done feel a bit achey and crampy for the next few days and most are advised to take a week off work.

hope that helps a bit !

Wishing you all the best

Steph x
