life sucks - sorry this is a depressing post

Hi guys, I'm so very gutted - what a crummy month its been, really have had enough now. Started off with redundancy and now I find that the lap & dye the doctor told me I was going to have - I'm not! It is actually a consultation appointment at the hospital and then it will be another 18-20 week wait. I don't think I can bear it any longer.

So girls, I have 2 options:
1. If I get a job soon (I'm waiting to hear today, think I have 80% chance), I can use my redundancy money to go private; or

2. If I don't get a job - then go along like a good little girl to wait patiently for another 5 months!!!!!! before I get any answers (its already been 19 months)

I am so sick of everything at the moment, this was the only thing that was keeping me happy despite all the job loss, cut backs, not spending and lying that I been doing.

Sorry for the rant, am just big time hating life at the moment.

aw chick im so sorry your having it rough at the moment, redunancy obviously isnt ideal now is it.
How much is the lap privately hun?

I completely hear what your saying - I feel pretty crummy at the moment too!! Have been on first cycle of Clomid and that wicked

So sorry you've been made redundant - can't really give advice on whether you should spend your redundancy on private treatment - what I would say is I am currently under private consultant (only due to hubby previously working for government so through that) and not really sure they are much quicker at getting stuff moving...I did get lots of tests done but it was still several months before Clomid was started...I think its this whole stupid thing of having to wait for certain times of your cycle etc...

Anyway just sending you

and fx your get your new job and you can happily spend the redundancy money

Hi all, I'm back and much calmer now. I think what I've decided to do is to use this time to (a) find a job as quick as poss and (b) just play the NHS waiting game. In the meantime, I am going to find out as much as poss bout going private. DH & I should have enough to last until xmas, after which I will need to use my redundancy ££. So if I get a job before then - well, then I can give myself a huge huge, HUGE xmas present.

I may put a separate post to see if anyone has gone private in London.

Thank you all though, I was really overwrought this morning.

Hi Jessgirl, know how you feel as I'm in asimilar situation as you at the moment-just been made redundant today and lap & dye which was supposed to be last friday has now been resheduled as hospital messed up my appointment.Read my post!
