Angry

referred - but do doctors not communicate??

i have had it up to here!!!1

just to summarise:
my periods are all over the place cycles ranging between 18 days and 44 days in between
heavy painful periods
was having trouble conceiving
also when charting my temp was not going up

so after going to the doctor for what seems like the thousandth time i see a locum who sends oh for a SA. i was feeling a bit run down so i went back thinking maybe i was coming down with a bug or something turns out i have severe low blood pressure which worsens as i stand up and this was due to work related stress so i got signed off for 2 weeks. he also said im not anaemic either ( i suffer with thalasemia trait)

also get the results for the SA which are ''normal'' although oh has more abnormal sperm than normal??!!

this doctor refers me to the infertility clinic

i had my appointment yesterday and the consultant explained that oh's sa is normal and his mobility ( i think thats what its called) is excellent in fact his sperm might as well be super!!! so he's happy

however with me they did an internal and took swabs for infections etc (sorry for tmi) and i am waiting for my appointment for a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and dye test. ive researched these so kind of know what to expect

i have also got to go back when i have my next period to have a blood test for FSH, LH,TSH, prolactotin ans testosterone. apart from testosterone what are the other tests for???

also on cd21 and cd28 i have to give more bloods for progesterone!!

any hoooooo
went to the GP today to see whether my blood pressure was ok and if i am ok to go back to work on monday as i am still have lightheadedness if i stand too long. saw a different GP as my one was off and he said my blood pressure is fine im anaemic so have to fast after ive had my dinner tonight and have my bloods tested for 6/7 different things and prescribed me iron tablets wuld these not effect anything? ie my tests??. what cheesed me off was before asking me whats wrong he asks do you have a partner - um i have got mrs before my name and then asks do i have children???? has he not read my notes???? think ive got doctor related stress

so to rant on girls but its hard enough when you work with girls who are expecting and so is your best friend and auntie and then im going through all these tests and the docs dont seem to communicate within the same practice!!!!! soryy again just needed to vent off a bit. think i need a cry

I recently had to see a different doctor, and no I don't think they look at the notes AT ALL. It was a nightmare having to go through everything again, you feel like a hypocondriac apart from anything else. You have my sympathy. They're useless.

lol, do you have a partner. Maybe he meant a lover... or maybe he was offering to become one. But anyway, that sounds like a pretty annoying experience to get.

its is annoying he made my blood boil lol considering that the first doc had said that low blood pressure is due to stress!!

i am married but what annoyed me was he referred to me as mrs and then asked if i had a partner think that doc

when i told dh what he said dh explained htat when he had seen that doctor he had been told he has high blood pressure and tried ot prescribe him tablets so dh went to another doctor whjo told him he was perfectly healthy lol
