clomid???.....

hey girls,
hubby's sa results came in today
count 125 million (previously 14 million)
mobility 50% (previously 12%)

i've left a message for my GP and my Gyne as i'm sure now they'll have to give me a chance on clomid.
What do you think?
Anna

Wish I could help Anna but not sure of the specifics. All I know is that I got clomid quite quickly but I really don't know on what grounds they prescribed it to me. I had v irregular periods and it has helped to regulate but no success yet. It may not be all about your OH sperm count but could be worth asking for it and finding out why if not?

Thats a really high count and the motility is at the minimum it needs to be at but because the count is so high that motility is probably really good. What were his morph results?

I think they should def give you clomid with those results.

My DH's SA was fine so they gave me Clomid to try this time round - maybe ask for it rather than waiting to see what they suggest?

Morph = Morphology - a normal result is 5-10% and above. This is the % of sperm that are normal and that can fertilize an egg.

LL - they might want to do a lap, HSG or ultra sound (if they haven't already) to investigate you further, but if all that is fine then i'd say they'd do clomid with the next step in mind being IUI.

oh i'll have to ask about that as it doesn't say. they said there was no abnormalities.

I've had loads of blood works done and 3 ultrasounds now so hope things will be ok to start clomid. fingers crossed i get a call now!
