That in couples with unexplained fertility i.e someone who doesnt have ov issues (like me..so got very upset when heard the news as was gonna ask for clomid as getting older..but oh well) it seems to have been over prescribed as they fell pregnant as often as those who took clomid.

However, statistics have proven that for women with ov issues up to 40% fell pg on clomid within 3 months. However, the bbc didnt mention that and instead made light of a huge problem without reporting the actual facts. B******s!

It really insenced me as this only gives ammo to those people who already are insensitive and uninformed like this scumbag who wrote in to bbc saying that the 'nhs is wasting money on expensive treatments such as sex changes, breast enlargments and ivf treatments'. Excuse me??? WTF!

What we need is a stronger lobby for more funding for fertility treatment on the nhs as this problem isnt going away but growing by the day. And public bodies such as the bbc should do a better job covering this. I fear its many more couples etc than are actually reported that have fertility problems, its just that since its not exactly something you share over the water cooler at work it goes unnoticed by the greater public and thus the state!

There- rant over!
Thanks for the information Omi, its great to get some more balanced feedback. TO all those calling for a petition, I have no idea how to start something like that unfortunately so don't know where to start. Not quite sure what I'm petitioning for either... I have written to the BBC Newswatch program though specifically about the "enjoy your sex life" comment as that is what pissed me off so much!

I think what is needed is a letter written out with what our grievances are and what we want changed and then everyone signs it. Then we send it to everyone we think needs to hear it and can do something about it, being mp's, heads of Nhs trusts, newspapers whatever. I think it can be done! Wouldnt it be great if a little (well, i say little, but im sure most people on b&b would sign it ) group of internet ladies made the headlines???

Now, who's good at writing? lol!!
