Last few periods I've been having spotting, about 7 days before AF, it actually stops a day or two and then AF start. Bizarre. Never happened to me before.

Good luck, hope you get your BFP soon.
Faerie - have you mentioned this to the doc at all?
Not yet - it's kind of been a bit hectic the last couple of months, with wedding parties and moving I'm going to my GP tomorrow about my busted ankle, so I'll ask him. He probably won't be able to tell me anything and just refer me back to my consultant, worth a shot though.

Since TTC and being more conscious of my cycle, I noticed that I would get a bit of spotting about 24-36 hours before full flow which would then sometimes only list 24-36 hours. Last moth I went on Clomid and the flow came in straight away (TMI?!). It as much heavier and more "normal! Don't know if that helps?...

Everything helps!

Did you get prescribed the Clomid as a result of getting the spotting checked or was it due to something else? (Sorry for being nosey!)

Hi hun
I always spot for 2 days before AF - always have done - it's my little warning alarm to get my M&S special pants on!!!
Having said that, i've just had my bloods taken so at least next week i'll know if mine is progesterone related!
Good luck x

Just wanted to say that I also used to have spotting about 2/3 days before my period. My doctor assures me it isnt a problem but I have read up on internet that it can be due to a hormone imbalance - although there are conflicting views on this. I started taking 50mg of vit b6 throughout my cycle for the last two cycles - one of them I had no spotting and just straight red flow and then the second i did have spotting again but only for one day prior to red flow.

TBH there doesnt seem to be enough info on whether it is ok or not - I try to trust my doctor - but i cant help but be a bit skeptical seen as I cant get pregnant after over two years and they dont seem bothered about it at all.

I spoke to my GP about it today, he didn't seem to be too worried about it (and he's a good guy, the kind who's happy to stay talking everything through for 30+ minutes).

I tried vit b6 75mg last month and the spotting started even earlier than normal at 5dpo! I spotted for 6 days out of 8 before af arrived for another 6. Any of you girls have spotting this long? It seems most of you only get it for a couple of days before af?
