I'm Currently Feeling: | Im sorry to hear your bad news
I would wait and see what the fertility clinc say before jumping right in at the deep end and spending thousands of pounds. Your entitled to so much on the NHS first so id wait and see what they have to offer!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey,
I just found out the same about my hubby but they test for three things, volume, amount and mobility. if it was only mobility that was low you should be ok.
Adam had all three low that with my lack of ovulation we're kinda screwed.
I'm sure if you're being referred you're being given the best chance!
Chin up!
Anna |

I'm Currently Feeling: | So sorry to hear your news
My DH also has very low motility, he also has low count, extremely poor morphology and highly damaged sperm. Our only hope is IVF/ICSI and we're currently TWW after cycle #1. I'm in Australia though, and after tests and all of that stuff (which seems to take forever!) you can get started pretty much straight away.
It is very scary to get dropped the IVF bombshell, I clearly remember when that happened to us. Its just something that you never think will happen to YOU.
There are a few of us doing IVF right now (some with ICSI too) and lots of girls coming up to their first cycle, so if you have any questions at all, ask away.
We're all here for you during this difficult time |

| Update on my post is that we went to GP yesterday to find out how dire a sperm result we had and she said "borderline" not to worry and to keep trying as not impossible naturally. We should get our appt at fertility clinic in around October / November. Asked her how quickly things would happen then and she reckoned not too long, she thinks the next stage would be for me to have dye injected in so they can have a look at my fallopian tubes, she said that would take another 6-8 weeks probably! Things get soooo dragged out. She told us hugely expensive private, although hell of a lot quicker but that just isnt an option.
Dont know why the GPs think it helps by saying " majority of people conceive while waiting for their fertility clinic appointments" DOESNT HELP!
Anyway, just an update.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey Donna
We got bad results yesterday as well.
However, have done some research and bought quite a good book. My DH has to go for another test in a month although they would usually do another test quite soon after the first to see any improvement. Has your OH got another test soon?
Not sure if your OH is taking any supplements but my book said that men who take 1000mg of vit c had a 60% improvement. Taking Vit B12 is also very good for improving motility and morpholoy etc and so is Zinc. Also, cutting out caffeine and alcohol would be a real bonus as it takes 70-90 days for sperm to mature so if he starts now then he'll have some olympians really soon!
Chin up hun xx |
