I'm Currently Feeling: | Question for IVF mummies - how many tries? I would love to know out of all the IVF mummies on BnB how many tries they had before success ( even if that sadly ended early) |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Just noticed I'm the only one to post in here. We were incredibly lucky for it to work first time.
I met a woman this morning with BG twins and that was after her 6th attempt. She'd got PG at 2 other attempts and sadly miscarried. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi
I was 33 during the IVF...34 when they were born.
Not sure about increasing the dose but I would imagine so. I think that's why they do the scans and AG had her dose increased during IUI recently. I'd guess it's the same. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Helen,
Do you experience any side effect from injections?
How many eggs retrieved?
Blood test on CD3 is for what? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi strawberry199
You may find it helpful to read my diary Diary of an IVFer for side effects. Nothing that couldn't be handled and when I look back it's all a distant blur. I still have a bruised bum from some of the injections!
We had 22 eggs.
Are you in the testing phase still at the moment? I think I had a blood test on CD3 to check the piturity gland was doing what it should. I didn't have a blood test on day 3 of IVF.
Are you about to go through IVF?

I'm Currently Feeling: | Helen,
I'll have a doc appointment on next month. Probably need to cut off the damaged tubes and start IVF..
I'm so glad to see your 1st time IVF with success..
I hope i'll be the next...
Is that means ICSI is more preferable for IVFer? because with inject sperm to each eggs, it won' be waste of the eggs compare to IVF?? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey Strawberry,
ICSI is used when you're dealing with male factor infertlitly, ususually when the motility is low, or the morphology is really low or the sperm is damaged (in our case all 3...jackpot...NOT!!!). So if your DH's sperm is fine then I would say that you'd be doing conventional IVF. So everything is the same except your eggs will be self fertilised in a petri dish. |
