I'm Currently Feeling: | HSG not normal I just came back from my HSG scan. I saw my films and there was no dye flowing from my right tube. I asked the doctor if my right tube was blocked. She said that it could be but it also could be that it just didn't fill up. She had trouble filling up my uterus with dye, it kept leaking out (sorry TMI). I don't know how this effects my IVF cycle. The films will be sent to my fertility doctor within 2-3 days. I have no idea what is going on now . I don't think they can do IVF without finding out what's going on with that tube. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My doctor said, if the fallopian tube is extremely damaged, it's advised to remove the tube before performing IVF.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thinking about you hun. I'm not sure whether a blocked tube will delay your IVF or not as they don't do the egg collection via the tube (certainly not from the way my specialist explained it to me anyhow). I hope you get some good news and get to hold your LO really soon.

| I've read that if the tube has fluid, you do need to remove it before you start IVF. The fluid is not good for babies. So the worst case senerio is that my IVF will be delayed while I get my tubes removed. I will know in about 2 days. I am also got really hopeful when I read on a website that when a HSG showed a blocked tube, you should get it retested because 60-70% of the time the dye just didn't fill up. I hope that is the case. |
