Does that mean suppression? I start my BCP pills for suppression today if my FSH test results comes back below 12.
Doesn't sound the same. Down regging is to stop your body doing what happens naturally and put it through the menopause. It's usually either sniffing or an injection.

I don't think BCP would have quite the same effect. Not that I'm any expert. I don't think everyone has to down reg though...

Sorry if that's caused any confusion. How long do you take the BCP for and what happens after that?

Hi akcher,

As you can probably see from my ticker I've just had my first IVF cycle and it was successful I did the long protocol where I was suppressed for 2 weeks, had follicle stimulation for 10 days, egg collection and embryo transfer 2 days later. My clinic make patients wait for 18 days after egg collection before testing so I got my BFP on the 12th July and first scan is booked for the 31st July. It's been very hard with all the drugs/daily injections but it's been worth it and I am so glad as much as I could about IVF to help improve my chances of it working.

Good luck for your

Elle x
