I'm Currently Feeling: | Flapping ( x post) Just opened what I thought was letter from ACU with appointment details - out tumbles about 30 sheets of forms and booklets, permissions to store eggs, store sperm, finance forms, HFEA forms - but we've not even spoken to them yet and they have sent us a bill to be paid in 2 weeks for £2.5k for our IVF! That we haven't even spoken to them about!
They want us to attend an info evening on monday in Aberdeen, nothing like a bit of notice, and our appointment is for the week after.
Also inc, is a snotty request to go to GP with this letter "this lady has been referred to us for IVF and will be mebarking on treatemtn quite soon" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and asking them to do fsh bloods at cd2-5 ( which I kept asking for at gynae )
We are supposed to be asking about iui which is only around £600 each try, not £2.5k! And ASKING! not a foregone conclusion!
I'm peed off, they are assuming we are going ahead and assuming we can drop everything RIGHT NOW to do it?!
Theres a leaflet in saying bmi 30-40 will not get any treatment until lost 10% weight - ok I lost 3 stone already and thats' not going to fecking count, might as well have stayed fat!! wasted a year!
I'm all a flap! SOmeone pleae calm me down!
spoke to the units admin - she says yes it's right they sent it all out, she appreicates my concern at opening all that^^ and to not worry - made it clear that we only agreed to a private appointment now at 100.00 to save time later on ( due to age) but would most likely go on waiting list anyway, told her I wasn't impressed at being faced with all this bumph when we've not even spoken to anyone about wether to proceed, how to proceed and wether nhs or private.
o they not think how upsetting it is to have all this info thrown at you like that when you havent even had your first consult yet??
She says info evening is for IVF only but to go anyway in case we end up there.and now to top it all, opened rest of post and been given 4 weeks notice for my inspection!( childminding)
I want to go away and lie down somewhere now. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | sweetie that really doesn't sound good. And I think anyone who was enquiring about a treatment being given something for £2.5 grand without deciding to go ahead would feel the same. <3 |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had to do a few things through my GP myself that the ACU requested. Its my understanding that it saves on appointments with them so you dont have such a long waiting time between each appointment (which is important if youre gonna be there every other day) |
