I'm Currently Feeling: | What happens at Drs if you are ovulating?... Just wondered if anybody knew what tests were likely when we see the consultant when we are ovulating, just too late in the cycle?
I know a lot of you ladies are on Clomid/Metformin etc to help you ovulate but i already do ovulate just too late or i have done while ive been temping, do you think this will make things easier to sort out? |

| I had CD21 bloods done last cycle and they showed I was ovulating but my cycles are crazy irregular so I was told I had to go back every 7 days until I got period. That month was a short month, thankfully, so I did not have to go back again for bloods but I have been referred to hospital for scans and gyno appointment because of severe pelvic pain.
If you are ovulating then I doubt Clomid would be of any assistance to you. All it does is convince the body to ovulate, as far as I know, and if your body already is then it won't really help you to conceive. I could be wrong but, that was the impression I got off doctor.
If your luteal phase is too short then it sounds like a problem with progesterone, therefore you would be put on progesterone supplement in order to assist you. Did your doctor mention anything about luteal length? | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | If you are ovulating then they may want to do a laparoscopy or HSG to see if theres any blockages or anything else before deciding on a route to go for treatments. |

Did your doctor mention anything about luteal length? | Ive been charting and using cbfm so i went to Drs and told them i had a shoer luteal phase, when my GP saw the charts she referred us after hubbies SA came back fine. What happens at a lap or hsg? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | see im confused as i have had my bloods, checked for ovulation and hubbys sperm test, the gynae then said there was no point in doing a lap or anything on me, because i should be fine considering my age etc,, but then he said the next step is IUI?
surely he should check my tubes etc,, first before doing that?x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | That would seem odd to me, if tubes are blocked then they are wasting time and money on IUI that wont work.
Age doesnt really have anything to do with blocked tubes etc, im only 21 and they still did a lap on me.
Maybe worth asking about it again? |
