LL now I haven't got a short LP, hopefully that is something which can be remedied easily with medications. Have you read up on taking b vitamins? That apparently can lengthen a short LP. ( how short is short by the way?)

Yeah im hoping some form of medication will sort me out, my luteal phase on average is 6 days long, the shortest its been is 5 days and the longest is 8 so definately something going on there!!

Hi Loopylew

Am new to the forum and just seen your post. HAven't read all the replies yet and I'm sure you've already had lots of replies telling you what to expect. Just wanted to say, that we had our first appointment today having had all the initial tests and it went fine. Doctor asked about my cycles and decided that I probably wasn't ovulating so prescribed Clomid to help me ovulate. HE also weighed me and worked out my BMI is 24. Apparently I have to lose weight as well which I find hard to believe! I'm only a size 12 and am 11stone at 5ft 8 inches. This is the heaviest I've ever been but even so I must admit to being slightly offended! I will do as I'm told though.

god ill definately have to lose weight the, my BMI is about 28 i think!!

That's crazy asking you to lose weight. I have a BMI of about 28 and although I not exactly slim I don't think I am massively over weight ( I’m a size 14). I believe that sometimes BMI can be very misleading and I wonder if fertility specialists/GP's try to use this as an excuse or to delay treatment?

Hi, i had quite a short lt phase about 8days at the most sometimes shorter, I started taking 50mg vit b6 everday and mine seems to of increased to 12days so dont know if this would help you.

If your first appt is anthing like mine the dr will probs arrange more blod tests andarrange an u/sound and hsg xray, it does sometimes feel like your just waiting around. Good luck with everything though!

I took B6 last month and it increased my cycle from 30-32 days to 47 but kept my luteal phase the same so i changed it for Agnus Castus which seems to have moved my ovulation a couple of days if you go by my cbfm or about 6 days if you go by my temps, why can't i be normal???
