| Was it very painful? Oh no! I couldn't imagine having that done when awake. My dye test was done during a lap and I was asleep. Do you get any after effects like cramping/pain?
So the dye eventually went all the way through the right tube? I guess you just want to relax now until the results tomorrow.
Take care

I'm Currently Feeling: | WOW, results TOMORROW? I had to wait 6 weeks for mine! They told me one of my tubes was blocked and the other appeared to be blocked, then when I went for the results they said after having a specialist read them (hm...maybe THAT is why it took so long... ) that they were both clear. Good luck! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Wow!! You get your results really quickly. I had to wait two months for mine. Maybe it was so sore because you had a blockage. At least if the dye cleared it, you may have an increase chance of pregnancy now ...
Good luck hun |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I am glad they were able to give you an idea. I phoned the consults secr today and my file isnt even back from the x-ray department (2 weeks!!) but should be back by the end of this week, the consultant will dictate the results and then they will be sent to my GP so about another 2 weeks. I found it quite painful too so I am wondering if I had a blockage too. some people luckily enough didnt seem to find it painful at all. Maybe they were just given proper pain relief. I was told not to take anything before I went and they gave me something when i got there, dont think it was v strong or did much good though! | | | | Status: Online

xx | I personally thought it was pretty damn painful!! They push a little balloon type thing "up there" to open up your cervix in order to shoot the dye into your tubes..... When they were opening up the balloon I swear I thought I was going to die!! The dr/ xray tech was very nice, so that helped out a little bit, especially when they said that was the worst part. Once the balloon was in place, the dye itself going in was not TOO bad (in comparison to the first part of the procedure...)
It took a while for the dye to get in the right tube.. The left was no problem, but the right one was definitely blocked. I had to roll over on my right and then my left side for them to take the xrays.. You could actually see the dye "pushing" the blockage and clearing out my right tube... it was actually kind of cool!
I still have some cramping (the test was at 9am central time and it is currently about 2:30pm) and am "leaky" -- TMI- haha... |

Good luck hun | I think I am going to get them so quickly b/c the dr that sent me for the test is a fertility specialist at one of the BIG fertility places in New Orleans, so maybe they are putting a rush on it... but I'm not sure. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I didn't want to say on my last post how awful it was for me, but it was, and that is why I recommended Tylenol & Advil. I thought it was very similar to labor pains. Well, I am glad that they found a problem and were able to "fix" it. Now, time to get busy!!! Everything is open...go for it...that is, if it isn't too painful! PS....I got my results the same day. Maybe that is because my OB/GYN was right there with me??? | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I only got cramping for a couple of hours after, and there was nothing after that, if anything at all it was just a very dull pain the next day. Did you get the results yet? | | | | Status: Online

I'm Currently Feeling: | Nope, no results yet. If my doctor does not call me with them, I will probably just wait until my appt on Monday. |
