Update considering egg sharing

Hi, Well had bit of bad news we were shipping oh sperm from Ninewells down to new clinic n unfortunatly the only straw they have has been damaged & we now need to go for another retrieval we are not sure whether this is going to happen by Mesa or Pesa and are waiting for an appointment to find out, anyway tbh it is going to put between an extra £1000 & £2500 on top of the £5245 already which tbh we can't really afford the difference so we are considering egg sharing, it is something I had considered before, I just feel it could give another couple the chance to be parents I can't help but think if I was in that situation I would hope someone would do the same for us. What are your thoughts?xx

Thanks Wob's obv it helps on financial side but this is not the reason I'm interested obviously it helps but just can't help thinking if I was in that situation infertility is such a devastating thing and feel it would be rewarding to help make someone else's baby dreams come true!! We have an appoint with the clinic counceller on fri at 1.15pm to discuss everything and also to have more bloods etc taken.xcx

I think in full, it's a brilliant idea anyway. You're offering someone the chance of life by sharing your eggs, that it's self is the greatest gift. And it'll help you finically to get your baby.

I think it'd be a wonderful thing to do.

It's a win win situation for both sides, you getting closer to having your baby, and the others, getting the chance they might not have had otherwise.

if we had to go on to treatment then I would want to do it both for them and my own selfish monetary reasons, hey we can't knock it though, it is EXPENSIVE!
