Hi Faye38,

Clomid is prescribed to women who do not ovulate on their own or to women with PCOS. I have seen on this website that Clomid is also prescribed to women who do ovulate on their own but not sure the purpose of that.

Side effects vary from person to person - I have had no side effects so consider myself very lucky. And yes Clomid does work, I fell pregnant on my second cycle but miscarried at 10 weeks in January. I started back on it this month again and went for my mid-cycle scan on Sunday which shows I have 3 follicles ready to go so we have to BD tonight and tomorrow night!

I'm on my second cycle of Clomid, my first was good, barely any SE and I ovulated well. This cycle I had no SE but I have not ovulated. So next cycle I'm going to get a higher dosage.

I was on 100mg Clomid for 7 rounds... worked on the 7th round!!

Good luck!

My side effects: Spotting between o and af, blurred vision, verrry moody, crampy and headaches. None of the side effects were severe though apart from the moods lol.
