Im with a Mr Burr, he's based a Pontefract, Wkaefield and somewhere else but I can remember it! He was really to the point but I demanded a try on clomid......Problem Ive found now is Im out in the open taking it with no monitoring! Its a bit scary when I think about it hahaha.....Im exactly like you hun. Low doesnt mean those that are there wont do the trick - They might just need a bit of help! We're using preseed this month again, used it last month but the clomid didnt make me ov so it was a bit of a waste but kinda helped us get use to the faffing around! with everything!!
I have my fingers and toes crossed your new doc is more helpful hun xxx I do find sometimes Docs and nurse have no sympathy what so ever! Its very wrong xxx

i have been on metformin for a few years now which makes me ovulate regularly and for alot of women with pcos it works very well, i spoke with my endocrinologist the other day and she said she is reluctant to put her patients on clomid straight away due to side effects etc, however this is only my consultant they all have their own ways of managing their own patients havent they? i also didnt ovulate for about 7 years but the metformin got me sorted, hope this helps

nic xx

I've got my appointment through for the Assisted Unit, it's next month. I really don't know what to expect. We've had must of the tests already so I really don't know what to expect.

hi we had been ttc for 10 mths when i found out i had pcos & with only 1 ovary i was gutted to say the least!!! dh sperm result came bk bad too, low count & bad motility....he started eating healthier & going to gym every day b4 work & most importantly took vitamins as the fs suggested...

i had to have a hycosy done & then was put on clomid even tho i was ovulating ok from the blood tests i had done......

we really thought we were never get pregnant it just seemed to be happening to everyone apart from us then dh repaeted sperm test & it was much better!!!

that was last sept....after my 3rd cycle on clomid in dec i was sooo disheartned...we knew i was ovulating really well as had follcular scanning done & sperm was alot better but it still wasnt happening 4 us!!

i pushed for a lap & dye as wanted to be checked out inside b4 we went ahead & paid for iui privately ( we have a 4 year old dd so we couldnt have it free on nhs)

i continued with the clomid & had the lap & dye on 3rd feb....ovulated 5 days later & got my BFP on the 20th feb!!! im now 8 weeks pregnant with twins & very excited!!!

please dont give up hope...it took us a long & very emotional 18 mths to get pregnant ( i know some people try 4 even longer than that & i take my hat off to them really do!)

when i was diagnosed with the pcos i really thought our dd would be an only child but having pcos doesnt mean the end of the world..it really doesnt...clomid can really help produce better & more eggs..it did 4 me!!

xxxxx

It's so nice to hear sucess stories. You must be over the moon and your having twins. Congratulations

We both took the news really hard. DH was devastated and was blaming him self. I was mortified as my body isn't doing what it should be doing so I feel a let down.

I thought they would have given me Clomid untill the assisted unit appointment as I'm not ovulating but the FS didn't want to know and just said our only option was ICSI. We only have 1 chance on the NHS so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's taken 15 months to get here so far, I keep asking myself what have we done wrong

Aww hun, we all feel that way. And most of the time too xxx Theres nothing worse than feeling like you not a complete man or woman is there?? Knocks your identity to the core I find. BUT we mustn't give up and need to keep positive for each other as which ever way possible it will happen. I dont think its wrong he wont let you at least TRY on clomid, believe me its not the wonder drug for everyone but I find it at least makes me feel we're doing something you know?? Could you speak to your doc about been re-rereffered???

The FS has referred us to the assisted unit for the ICSI the FS said cos we ticked all the boxes then its straight for ICSI basically. He just didn't want to help us it was a case of getting us out as soon as possible after ripping our dreams to shreds. We have an appointment for next month to start ICSI rolling but I'm assuming that will be more tests etc before anything is decided
